Oh ho, Feperd made a "non"-Spark game! (I believe and so should you he's keeping it secret!!!!)
Genuinely great game. Some decisions need work- specifically killzones in the middle of what could have been a perfectly good shortcut jump. This feels like an improvement of the formula we got from F-Zero, and the fact that a dude and some musicians just ended up making a fun time with fun music.

A lot of people in the Spark community would tell you that this game is worth missing if you don't care about the story, but even if you skipped all the cutscenes, this feels different from Spark 3, and I would even say slightly better. I might be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane for holding that opinion, but one thing everyone would probably agree on is that Spark 3's version of the Spark 2 music is not as good as the original. Do yourself a favor and get this one so you have a nice lil bundle of gemeralds for yer old lockbox there

One guy did this. One guy. His writing is dumb, but he makes incredibly fun games. Spark 2 and 3 are also worth purchasing. If you like Sonic-esque indie games, another recommendation is Freedom Planet. Please buy this game, the developer is cooking up some incredible food, and man, is the gaming community hungry for a good snack once in a while.

I didn't wait 15 years for this. Imagine if they released a basketball game with no professional basketball players. A soccer game with no professionals. EA and Full Circle do not care about skating not only as a culture, but as a SPORT.

This is Metaverse-styled Fortnitified slop wearing the shed skin of the previous incredible games, so of course, sometimes you see some light bleed through, but then that light is smothered by the predatory monetization, the lack of care for the culture, the dripfeeding of content, and the prioritization of "Everyone's welcome!" virtue signalling- which ironically excludes skaters.

Don't bother playing this, not even once.

I feel like my opinion must be wrong, but I really do not like this game much. Classic AC games are better, and this game just feels like a mixture of the Arkham series and the less fun parts of Nioh 1.

Do not play this if you haven't played other Yakuza games. This is likely the worst way to start the franchise, and it's just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible game.
