The gameplay is pretty fun but it doesn't feel like it respects your time. It takes a lot of runs to unlock all the meta progression and the start without all of that is very slow.

I would like to recommend it but I'm having one very annoying issue that makes it hard to play. There's a chromatic aberration effect that is amplified way too much on an ultrawide monitor and there's no way to disable it. For me the effect is so strong that it makes me physically uncomfortable because it feels as if my vision is going blurry despite being completely fine otherwise. It's been mentioned a few times in the steam forums and on discord. I also reported it myself but it's been completely ignored by the dev. It's a bit frustrating considering the dev has been very responsive to most issues. If this issue is fixed I will update my review to recommend this game.

Very nice survival crafting game. There's a lot of physics interaction and diegetic elements which are really nice and immersive.

It's a U5 game so the performance is as expected. Fortunately I haven't seen traversal stutter yet but even on a 4080 I have to use DLSS quality + frame gen to get decent framerate.

Most of the puzzles were fun but not too hard. The ending was really frustrating though. The entirety of the game is about solving puzzle then the last boss becomes a mostly reflex based event. Other than the ending it was an enjoyable game to play even if a bit short.

The concept is fun and the aesthetic is good but in its current state it's really hard to recommend.

The performance is really bad relative to how the game looks. I have an AMD Ryzen 9 9950x, 64GB RAM and an RTX 4080 and the game struggles to hit 144fps unless I set it to medium with 70% render scale. I would understand if it was using super dense geometry but it's a relatively low poly art style with a lot of reused meshes. The graphics settings menu is extremely barebones too so you can't really play with the settings to figure out what is the performance bottleneck. If the game was using full path tracing the performance would be a bit more understandable, but AFAIK it's not. Which makes the current performance very underwhelming.

In terms of gameplay, the early game works well, but as you scale things up resources simply don't get distributed around. Most of my production buildings are filled with items and there are transporters available yet the town right next to it is complaining about missing resources. It's hard to believe this is not a bug because this happens even with all the upgrades to the transporters.

The UI is also not great sometimes. It doesn't really refresh correctly. Like if you are trying to place a building and don't have the money it will become red, but if you have the money on the next tick it will stay red. If you place the building anyway it will work, but it should really be visually reflected. Another example of an issue is how it communicates the resources needed for research. It will simply silently not progress research if it's missing a resource and it doesn't highlight anywhere in the UI which resource is missing or that there's even something missing to begin with. There's a lot of small things like that. Visually the UI is fine, but the UX needs a lot of improvements.

Because of these issues, this game really feels like an early access game but it's not marketed as such which makes it hard to recommend in its current state.

Climbing bosses is pretty fun. All the art asset are well made and have a very consistent look. Voice acting is good too. Some of the combat elements are weaker than others but I feel part of it is just because it's the start of the game.
