Played on Steamdeck without Issues - for everybody who isn't sure at first like me.

Good game. The story catched me and even tho i found dialogue to be a bit "loveless" sometimes it did a good job of dragging me in.

The RPG Elements for sure helped making this a stand-out adventure experience i wouldn't wanna miss.
As a lot of replay potential since missed opportunities and voice-lines may change the outcome of the entire thing.

Really enjoyed my time here.

As always: I am not native english.

It is been a while since I had nothing good to say after 50 Hours of gameplay outside of 'gameplay seems fun'.

I did not speedrun leveling, meaing i did every quests i encountered because that is how I do the first leveling in mmos - in hindsight i should have tho. The leveling feels pointless. The story is horrendous compared to other mmos in 2022. It feels like it is made for you to hate it so that you will use the free boost that are given to you and pay for the ones that will hit the store eventually (both kr and ru have boosts). It is long, it is full of fetch quests and enemies that do not last long enough for you to enjoy the gameplay.

I could tap into the entire P2W ♥♥♥♥ but I wont - it is a dead beat horse. Let me just say that people who do not consider this game pay to win are people who main this game for multiple hours a day or are on high copium.

Other than that the game has WAY too many systems - i wouldn't even consider those in-depths just.. too much. All of the system could have been done in simpler and still serve the same purpose.

I will dig into endgame content if the game ever lets me log in again (its a launch and it is fine - to a degree) and i hope i find something there that will atleast get me motivated for a while. If i find something i am more than willing to update my review and give it a positive one but so far the negative for sure overwhelm the positives.

I can say that most classes seem fun if enemies don't die in 2 seconds (try the dungeons on hard solo for that - it gave me some enjoyment in the awful leveling grind) and the game does look really pretty for UE3.

EDIT after another 50 Hours.

The game itself gets more fun in Tier 2. - Yes it does not delete mobile game mechanics and it also doesn't make it a better MMO but it gets more fun. Your character grows stronger and it is really fun to feel more powerful.

But now the Server Issues Amazon refuses to adress and also only bandaid fixes are sucking the entire fun out of me. I am not even on about the queue. I am on about not being able to use matchmaking and never have my crystaline aura active even tho it should.

Not native english, trying my best:

TLDR:

If you are a LIS fan you will enjoy True Colors.
I haven't played LIS 2 yet but I did play LIS and BTS and i think that BTS and LIS are slightly better.

My biggest Issue with the game is that it is WAY too short.
i have 16 Hours in it and i was roughly 6 Hours afk with the game open in the Back and I finished it.
If you charge 60 Euro for a Game like this you should offer a little bit more than 10 Hours.

+ Amazing Characters
+ Great Sideplots
+ Vibrant and lovely Scenery
+ Fitting Music
+ Overall all I am looking for in a LIS Game.

- Mainplot ends somewhat weak
- There is somewhat of a plothole which results from not giving the Game 1-2 more Chapters
- Game is WAY! to short.

Do yourself a favor and wait for a sale tho. Length is easier to digest if the game costs 10 Bucks instead of 60.

-- SPOILERS AHEAD: --

The Story was rather simple and given you have played LIS before you can kinda guess how things will end up rather quickly. But it didn't feel bad, because the characters are so lovely and every time a long the way i felt like you can understand why they act in a certain way.

The chapters also feel really lovely even tho i do feel like that Alex handels the situation too good too quickly. Even tho there is a small timeskip hinted it still don't sit quite right for me how quickly she goes from griefing to Detective mode. Now I do understand that people grief differently but in this specific case it made the Story feel rushed once in a while. Combine that with how short the story actually is i feel like there could have been atleast 1-2 Chapters more, I also think the story and characters would have made adding some chapters easier and the game would overall feel a bit smoother without suffering from bloated storylines.

The last two chapters where my least favorite. I know they are supposed to be the big reveal but i do feel like they key points from alex past where too rushed for me to care about their father. And if i cared it would have been a negative emotion rather than a sad one too. It doesn't really add anything to have him be one of the miners killed and I think the story could have been gone a better path here. Also i don't think that mine would have caused any issue to typhoon given the inspector has not alex powers so there for i do feel like the conclusion also doesn't really make sense but with a bit of imagination its fine, i just wish it wouldn't have been alex father as I really have 0 emotions for him at that point. And thats why the last Chapters really didn't do it for me.

The chapters and scenery around haven are super lovely tho. The music is great at enhancing the story and the chapters are cute but heartbreaking at the same time. I also feel like the decisions really make you think a lot which I really like. I enjoyed exploring the scenes and the Spring Festival & LARP Event for Ethan were some really amazing Chapters.

The Idea of the Haven Social Media was also a really pleasant one. It made me feel more connected with the characters and story and i loved reading it.

Overall i really liked the game and I am going to re-visit haven for achivement completion, replaying other choices and see if it makes more sense, romancing steph instead of ryan (i really just like the dork) and for Stephs Story.

This game should be F2P by how much you can spend ingame + brs not being F2P is lowkey cringe these days.

This game also has a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in it and some characters are clearly better than others by a large margin (atleast in trios, i dont play solo).

That being said, this game looks and plays amazing.
It really is a lot of fun and i do not regret buying it.

Also: Booba.

Played around 60 Hours in the BETA and now around 15 on Launch so here is my feedback:

TLDR: If you like MMOs like BDO (but with endgame), LA, BNS but (as of july 10) without P2W / P4Convenience this game might be interesting for you.

+ Fast leveling
+ Fast interesting action-style combat (classic mode available) while still having tank/heal/dps trinity system
+ good endgame roadmap (dungeons, raids, hardmodes, pvp)
+ only cosmetic cash shop
+ looks nice

- leveling quest boring as hell
- no finished english VO and some texts are also still chinese. given the mmos that come out later this year I get why the released is rushed. however i paid 40 euro for an unfinished VO and translation. a bit yikes if you ask me.
- optimization is horrible. I run the game on a 3080 ti and i am locked to 60 fps in most areas due to the abysmal engine. GOOD THING IS - the chinese version will recive and unreal update and id assume this version will aswell. SOONTM.
- character creator feels limited because the game wants to stick to its aesthethics. which is fine but it cant keep up with games like BDO

It is a decent mmo from the east and looking at the chinese releases there is a lot to come for this one. Let's hope gameforge is commited to it long-term :)
