I recently watched a documentary talking about the magic of fighting games, where they mentioned how much it would suck if in the future they dumbed down the game enough where you could 1 button Hadoken...

Well, Street Fighter 6 made that a reality, just 6 years after that documentary was made.

Don't get me wrong I don't have any problem with modern controls being in the game, it helps sell to more people and I suppose it's good for a beginner like myself. But up until now I'd been reluctant to play modern, because in my mind it felt cheap to fight modern vs classic controls.

But I've since seen multiple high level fighting game players recommending modern to new players and they sure as hell know more than me, so I guess it isn't such a bad thing after all.

Although personally I'd still like to see modern and classic split into separate ranked matchmaking but that's just my personal opinion. It isn't anything game breaking but as a new player, if you're trying to learn the ropes vs a modern playing their auto assisted combos, expect to have some frustrating experiences early on.

Overall though It's a fun game for sure, I'll give Modern a shot and see how I get along with it. One things for sure, fighting games have never been more accessible to everyone than they are now, since SF6 came along.

So glad that I played this game a ton during the beta, they've absolutely ruined everything that was good about it now. Super disappointing to say the least... :(

This is a classic case of taking something that was perfect and trashing it by trying to cram in too many half cooked ideas. It's totally killed the flow of the game.

Edit: Decided to revisit the game to see if they fixed this issue, I'm happy to say that it seems like they have, because it feels so much smoother now!

Ruined by Epic Games.

A fun game turned into a micro transaction riddled mess & the game crashes often.

Possibly the most overrated game series of all time.

It's basically Chivalry but actually good.

Epic Games = ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can no longer play the game on STEAM without linking your ENTIRE STEAM ACCOUNT to Epic Games, we need to take legal action this is unacceptable...

This game is tons of fun, the physics & AI are super impressive. You can tell that a lot of love went into the creation of this game.

The computer says I'm ready, goodbye real world!

I'd say this game is already one of the best games that I've ever played even in its un-polished early access state. Once this game is finished it might just end up being a contender for the greatest game of all time!

Do note though, you'll need a beast of a computer to run it, as it is completely unoptimised.

Now I don't normally write reviews but this game was so amazing that I feel compelled to.

This I can honestly say hands down is one of the greatest video games I have ever played; which is amazing considering the only controls are point & click & Q + E. It really shows what you can do with a well thought out narrative & the perfect combination of audio and visuals to tell a story.

This game doesn't just have you observing the story as it plays out though. Instead you get drawn into it yourself stepping into Lee's shoes and having to make quick & difficult decisions that will have you questioning your own personality & moral values.

10/10 highly recommended.
