The game is fun and engaging, lives up to the first game, and the token system makes the fights at least a bit less RNG, which is good.

There is one major issue with the game though, which was also present in DD1. The boss fights are all repetitive gimmicks, which ruins the fun. Either you already know the gimmick, and then you can pre plan your team composition and autowin the boss fight, or you go in blind without knowing the gimmick and then it's just a casino whether you were lucky enough to have the right team comp for that specific gimmick, or not and then you just autolose.
