The gameplay is awesome, combining improved stealth and combat with Caribbean cities and ship sailing. It's really the only triple A pirate game, like how Red Dead Redemption is easily the best Wild West game. The story is much better than its predecessors, having a likeable but dynamic character and humanizing pirates beyond their legendary status. All around, I'd say to give it a go if you like pirate games or travelling, even if you didn't enjoy the last ones.

Skyrim is an amazing game, filled with all sorts of adventures and exploration, made by Bethesda, who also made the 2006 and 2008 Games of the Year. The game has an absurd amount of things to do, and there are few games that encourage you to explore and participate in the world as much as this one does. Many people can get their money's worth out of this game, but it's particularly tailored to those that like RPG and open world games. Additionally, this game can have a large amount of bugs. Even with this drawback, I'd recommend this game to anybody - particularly if it's on sale.

Tribes: Ascend is a good way to waste some time. It has complex and interesting maps, and while there is a steep learning curve for weapons in the game, it's far more rewarding than in other games to get a kill. Sadly, it is clearly a game developed around microtransactions, and it takes an absurd amount of time to get that one weapon you've been eyeing. Due to that fact, the majority of players have moved on from Ascend, and it's slowly fading out. While not a bad game in its own right, due to the recent lack of players and neglect from the developers, I can't recommend this game.
