Functionality: A bit of a rocky start led to some mixed reviews up front, but the dev team is very actively seeking out feedback and implementing changes accordingly. The list of bugs is quickly depleting with every patch and update, and it's great to see their team responding to feedback in a positive manner and looking into the issues as quickly as they can.

Physics: Looking through the reviews, there are many notes on the physics and flight characteristics of the rigs used in the game. Personally, I think the system emulating the flight characteristics of the Racer3 flies quite well. It's certainly very far from absolutely unfliable, as other reviewers have called it. Is it perfect? Not quite yet, but again the devs are aware that it doesn't represent an absolutely identical experience to that of flying the 1200g Racer3 IRL and they're on it. There's also a garage mode coming soon, through which pilots will hopefully be able to choose between various options for their drones that offer a different flight experience. We'll presumably be able to better find something that flies in game closer to how our actual quads fly in real life. It's very important to keep in mind that the Racer3 weighs nearly three times that of some of our personal racing drones.

Tryouts: This is the portion of the game that has really sucked me in. Offering a tryouts tournament with a substantial financial contract and a position as a pilot on the show is absolutely phenomenal. I think this is a great way for those of us who are interested to really sit down and bust our asses to prove that we're capable of holding our own against the best of the best and chase that dream. This also provides a very significant incentive to hop into the game; there's nothing better than pitting yourself against all of the best sim pilots in the world to really see how you stack up to the competition. It's absolutely addictive, and I'm having a blast with it.
