Pretty dang good. Certainly some UI and menu additions are necessary. As of this review there is no interface to edit loadouts in the main menu, you can only do so in a match. There is an odd hitch every now and then, I've experienced 2 total in 9 hours. Possibly a server loading error or load problem for the amount of people, nothing serious. It can probably run on my 8 year old laptop at 60 frames with max graphics enabled, which is impressive considering the number of textures and models in each map with destructibles and FX playing as well.

The guns feel good, I'd say there's a bit too much kick without as much control available compared to games like CSGO. Perhaps mouse sensitivities need to be adjusted on the dev side. I have mine high already and find recoil control more difficult than in other FPS games. Outside of that, gunplay feels good and has great feedback.

The maps are well made, are entertaining, are inventive, and unique. Some are really big, some are tactically restrictive. There's a good voting system, although it seems nobody plays anything except Conquest (full vehicle list and player tools). Night/Day versions of each map exist, and they're actively making more maps.

I will state that I have yet to win more than one match as Russians and I have yet to lose more than one round as USA. Spawns swap, so I have no idea what that's about. I've played roughly 10 on each side.

The cross-team VOIP feature is fantastic. It brings a level of humanity to the enemy team that prevents feeling bad or annoyed at doing badly. It's also comical in the greatest sense to hear silly remarks and getting to tell the enemy team about mechanics you figured out before they murdered you. Then you meet next round and everyone's friends!

There is, of course, a level of toxicity present like in all FPS games. The system regularly bans and disciplines players for prohibited behavior, such as racism and hacking. The report feature is front and ready as well. My first match I saw at least 3 dozen people banned in a massive list on the right side of the screen. It happens at the end of the round for hackers I think? I'm not sure. Speech or behavior related bans can happen any time during a match.

So, overall, definitely some work to be done; however, it's already way ahead of Battlefield 4/5 and any COD I've played.

It's Planetside 2 with Roblox bones and Battlefield 4 organs.

I hate this game. I wanted to enjoy it so badly because of the incredible visuals, story, and mechanics outside of combat. But the combat breaks it in half. This ship sunk so hard. In 3 hours I experienced what is probably only an iota of the buggy, terribly developed hit boxes, AoE, dodging, and general wonkyness of the attacks and movement. Great art, terrible game. And to quote another steam user: "If you want to create a difficult and unforgiving platformer you need to provide the player with pixel perfect movement."

Getting hit off a platform into instant death spikes so I could walk across the map (yet again) because the AoE of the enemy extends behind it by half a foot is not fun. I can stare at the back of an enemy's head from a foot away and I'll still get hit by it. The lack of any sensible control mapout at the start of the game also SUCKS. Like I didn't know I needed to check the tutorial thing in game startup, because I assumed it'd be annoying and constant.

Movement in general feels awful. The game must be based in Canada because the character is practically swimming in syrup with every action. Jumping, dodging, swinging, finishing, magic is all SO SLOW and you get hit constantly when you try to do magic and just stand there for 5 seconds getting wailed on. I fought two bosses with magic and it just... sucked. Why even include magic if it's just a gateway to getting half my health taken off by the 6 dudes you've pitted on me. Unlocking downward attacks was like a big eureka moment because I thought they'd be useful. No. Every enemy simply dodges your strike or isn't even hit despite being RIGHT UNDER IT. Don't give an attack a buttass massive animation and windup if it has an AoE smaller than the Player Character himself.

Most enemies can simply be staggered and the ones that can't are "easy" to dodge. Supposedly. They, like mentioned above, just hit you with their massive AoE that is arbitrarily placed a foot behind their backs when their attack faces the other direction. There's variety, but only just. Most every enemy is one of four things: big, charges or swings slowly; shield, has a shield; range, moves around a ton and throws crap; flying, flies... that's it.

Thumbs down. I thought I would love this game and ended up hating it.

Hollow Knight is difficult. "Only the pure come unscathed from the crucible."
This game is a good challenge, one of my favorite games even having only 12 hours in it. It isn't too hard and it teaches you brutally how to cope with the enemies in the dark caverns of Hallownest.

I will also say that I hadn't held a controller in nearly 6 years before picking this up and it has very much carried my learning curve up and beyond in just a few bosses. Most controls are intuitive, most strategies require puzzle solving and creativity.

This game is brilliant in atmosphere, story elements, combat, environment, map design, enemy design, NPC design. I'd give it 5 stars for every category. Can't wait for Silksong!

Having completed the game now, I can confidently say that this is still one of the greatest stories, games, and experiences I have ever had. Genuine beauty exists in few places on this pale orb called Earth -- Hollow Knight is one.

This game has challenges I still think about while trying to sleep. The sheer enigma of such feelings dwells vast in my psyche as I contemplate my memory of events. A true artpiece.

One of a kind.

The cosmetic system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but the gameplay is pretty fun. More weapon variety would be great, but they did add a much desired ogryn weapon. Currently classes can multi-spec, which is cool.

Unlike 1, this game has challenge rooms that do NOT lead you into the concepts. It throws the hardest difficulty new danger at you with zero mercy. The controls are also broken half the time with various keys not able to be pressed simultaneously. 1 had much better character control and progression, this one throws you in immediately and has different mechanics. The enemies are also pretty annoying, most all of them after the last normal cave requiring you to sacrifice your health to kill them in hopes that they give you health back (which they don't).

6/10

Don't play after 10pm, just hackers and try hards. Chaotic, better than other royales for how easy it is to learn and how random chance has more to do with winning than anything else.

This game is great. I would recommend that the backpack be unopenable/closeable using the mouse, it's annoying to move things quickly when it keeps closing/targeting it. I also absolutely hate the research menu, it's hard to navigate and there's just too many things to keep track of this way.

Otherwise, the game is supremely atmospheric, and gameplay is very relaxing. Play it to relax!

This is now a solo game and has plenty of PvE mechanics that work fine. It's great with a few frustrating aspects, I give it an 8.5/10

***SLIGHT SPOILERS***
Honestly I think brutal is pretty stupid and should be rebalanced and redone. Most bosses just get more minion summons, which is hard, but hardly a real challenge. The real challenge is the annoying amount of damage many bosses do. I've set my brutal difficulty V Blood Power to 1.0, but many bosses still do a whopping 200-350 damage in one hit or in several continuous ticks of beam damage. This is frustrating because some of these fights occur at times when the player has less than 500 health, some above. Many fights feel RNG already, but this just heightens the sense of brutal being a no-hit-run. Essentially: if you aren't at least okay with being RNGd by bosses, don't play brutal at full V Blood Power 1.7. It's much more fun at 1.0.

It's certainly possible to no-hit run many bosses. I do on occasion no-hit first try bosses that I have trouble with normally. Again, RNG. If you have issues with taking losses, don't play PvP. If you have issues losing over and over to bosses to get it right, don't play ANY boss rush. Some are pretty frustrating, but they all have a quirk to take advantage of. Even Azarial, that stupid bastard. I've swapped this review from positive to negative several times because of what feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when fighting bosses, yet there are few consequences and at the end of the day I just suck for the moment.

This is a good game for PvE, PvP definitely needs work, but there are many people suggesting many things and I'm not even a PvP player, I just observe it, so I won't share my thoughts there.

The game is hard, I'm not amazing but I am capable at it. It has replayability and the devs are ALREADY working on new content for it. It's good with friends and alone.

YES! I absolutely recommend this game at 3.6 hours of gameplay because it makes me SO happy just to finish up a simple factory complex. I figured out a compact green science factory and the smile that got put on my face was just inconceivably genuine. Phenomenal job, devs. Keep it up!
