William Shakespeare once wrote “Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!” in the great history, Julius Caesar. Who, we may ask ourselves (or what) are the dogs of war? In theory, we can say the dogs of war are an idea. The dogs are men, and like animals or wolves, the dogs tear apart society through war. Wolves are a common trope in Roman history; this being because Romulus and Remus were both raised by a she-wolf and like the fable, the dogs of war (men of Rome) are raised like wolves and animals of society to destroy or "hunt" in war. Like dogs, we live our lives, obedient to a civilization or idea that governs us (our Caesar) and takes out the genuine aspects from our lives. Through war we perpetuate this, and bow, and die for our Caesar's. This sucks the "oneness" that makes a human out of mankind. One must take life into his own hands, and transcend from Dog to God to bring back our genuine souls.
