very similar to the previous game, had fun

Limitless fun if you can get through the complexity

While it has a bug here and there and is a rather bad console port, the world is so huge with so many things to do and the story is great that it is worth it

underrated

Disappointed this game is worse than both AOE 2 AND 3. The interface is terrible; cluttered, sluggish and constantly nagging about tournaments and other stuff I don't care about. Hotkeys are the worst. The campaign is slow and pretty repetitive. The AI even at hard is trivial to beat. I would recommend most people to save their money and play AOE2:DE instead.

Get a mic and the courage to talk and this game will be a lot of fun!

I am very mixed about whether I recommend this game. In short: I would not recommend this game to new players as the overall experience is pretty toxic (you will get extremely frustrated many matches), developers are making changes detrimental to the fun of the game, and updates are extremely slow so mistakes (of which there are a lot) are remedied only much much later (at least one would hope).

Still, I continue to play this because it is the one game that my friends are actually into playing. It’s a convenient game where you have short, quick matches with occasionally some fun mixed in (mostly by the interactions with my friends). I wish there was another approachable game with short matches like this one, that would actually be fun to play.

Not the easiest game to learn (do the training missions!), but that's because it has so much depth. The difficulty makes it that much more rewarding. This many hours into the game and I still am nowhere near having achieved everything. The content is endless, just beware that the start can seem overwhelming but it's well worth pulling through.
