Okay ... more than a year later since the CS2 official release we got:
1 Terrible matchmaking. For no reason I get absolute monkeys in my team that can only speak russian and just barelly get close to double digit kill counts.
2 Broken MMR system. Each game won = +100 MMR. Each game lost = -300-500MMR regardless of Win/Loss streak.
3 The (lack of) anticheat. No seriously ... the anticheat literally doesnt exist... only thing stopping me from cheating in this game is self respect.
4 Dry updates. Only real update we got was The Armory pass which proved to be another lazy cashgrab.
5 The ranks are strictly for decoration. Honestly you got better chances of accurate skill representation just by allocating the ranks using a lucky wheel. Skill based matchmaking doesnt exist ... each game I queue I got to carry the team by ratio of the other teammates kill counts while the opponent team is either highly tactical, smurfing or cheating. Dont believe me? Check a part of my match history in my screenshots. Also since almost in each game I get so many kills I get report spammed and instead of valve increasing my rank they decrease my trust factor so the next game is a guaranteed loss against more hackers further more blocking me in a lower rank.
6 The hitboxes dont work. So many times I shoot the enemy and not even one of the hits dont count ... I even check the demo to make sure those were actual shots and they clipping straight through the opponent but no damage.
7 Map pool is terrible. Dust 2 is obviously a bad map simply because of its run and gun based layout. Ancient shares a similar path. Inferno is a lag simulator every time theres more than a molotov/smoke on the map.
8 All the fun modes from CSGO are gone. Not only that the competitive part of the game is in ruins but so is the casual one. A great example would be the DangerZone mode... such a nice and fun thing to play... you wanna try it in CS2 ... well sadly valve said NO. Probably too busy ruining the game to manage a port for DZ into Source 2.
With all of these "achievements" realized by the valve team in the past year is safe to say this is a great game to play if you're looking to lose IQ. I'd say pick your poision but you will experience them all anyway.
Honestly if you wanted to experience a competitive game ... well that train is long gone and probably never coming back... Good luck!
