Fantastic game. Highly recommend giving it a try, even if you're not normally a massive fan of turn based games. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this, considering I only paid just over $1 for it (then promptly bought all the DLC for another $1.50ish.

Already bought and downloaded the sequel. Absolutely give this a try if it's on sale, otherwise, probably still give it a try.

It just kind of feels janky. I was a MASSIVE fan of Lies of P and I was really hoping this would scratch that itch, but it falls very short in its current state. I'm willing to pick this up on a sale in a few months if reviews improve, but as it stands, it's not very playable for me personally.

I have a 1660 ti and it was STRUGGLING. I had to lower everything to minimum graphics to get stable FPS even though the "auto detect" put me at medium. VERY frustrating to sit through shader compiling every single time you want to adjust a graphics setting, which made me put off of changing it for a good 45 mins. It was incredibly pretty, but that doesn't mean ♥♥♥♥ when it won't even surpass 15 FPS without half second stutters.

It became playable, but nothing felt "right". The animations feel intentionally misleading to make learning parry timings hard and I could never get them down. I'm a big fan of Sekiro, and despite some people saying the parry window is bigger in this game than Sekiro, I had a MUCH harder time getting them to work. It just feels wholly unsatisfying, which is the exact opposite of what I'm expecting from a very parry-heavy game. Honestly this game might need a whole animation rehaul before I'd enjoy the parry system, which is disappointing to say the least. It felt like I just had to memorize the timing of an enemy's entire moveset before I could parry them effectively and it made "sight reading" parries next to impossible.

I refunded and I'll be buying GoW Ragnarok instead. Maybe I'll come back if reviews improve and there's a decent sale. I'm hoping to check it out again some time around the Winter Sale, but only time will tell.

more like Supermarket ALONE cause I don't like nor trust random people and don't have any friends that would enjoy this

ADDENDUM: This game is not possible solo. You need more employees than they allow you to unlock. Before you can even get your second employee, you're just completely overwhelmed with keeping stock 24/7 while your store's open. Every shelf in my store is filled to the max and all of my storage shelves have stock, but I end up needing to buy multiple boxes of stock for the SAME things throughout a work day. It's just not possible for anyone solo to even get into mid game while keeping everything they expect you to keep stocked.

But it's a free supermarket game! Lots of expandability especially compared to some of the games you'd have to pay for. It's also really cool that it's free because that makes it a LOT easier to potentially convince friends to try it with you! Very smart move by the dev.

However, I do have a complaint and warning for new players. The game ONLY saves when you close your shop at the end of the day. So I finished my second day and made TONS of progress and decided I'd had enough for the night so I got everything ready for the next shift and clicked "quit". Then I had a thought. What if it didn't save? So I relaunched and sure enough, it was the START of the second day. I lost ALL of that progress because I didn't click a single ambiguous button.

Would be worth $20-40 if it wasn't free. It's just a survival crafting game with some skins in MTX menus. Hopefully they change the wipe mechanics cause I ain't grinding this game twice, but it's fun so far. I LOVE that you can move your base whenever you want for no cost. Makes it incredibly easy to keep up with progression and stay in relevant areas for the new ores

8/20: I only got to about the mid/end of the red sands region (region 5/6) before getting burnt out. I would have had to do a bunch of exploring to level up enough to use the weapons I already crafted and didn't feel too excited about it so I kept putting it off. There was only a single region and crafting tier above me left when I stopped.

Edit: I have not been able to progress for a few IRL days now since the patch and nothing has been addressed. I can't build or move anything which means I can't get the next gear table to get sufficient gear to go into the next area. It all says "exceeds territory range". It also won't let me move my territory at all, so there's nothing I can do. The new phase has started and I'm relegated to spectating.
Edit con't: Still nothing, but at least there's fixes incoming. Would have assumed NA would be a prioritized region but it looks like we're going to be near last. Fun. That's gonna make just under a week total of no progression possible.

Edit edit: FINALLY it's back up. on 7/25, when it went down on 7/18. Moving the edits back down to the bottom, but I ain't about to delete these. This was an awful experience.

Wow. I'm not really a fan of horror games but I'd heard good things and it's FREE so I had nothing to lose. I finished the first three and am going to take a quick breather before hopping into the last two. Very impressed so far though. Took me 43 minutes to finish the first three, so it's a pretty short experience.

Why are you even reading these? It's free, man! Just get it!

Insanely large and incredibly high quality, EXCEPT for the optimization and shaders. I had to lower my settings from high to medium to get more than 30 FPS and I still constantly see shadows in the world flicker from completely opaque black back to normal. I'm running this on a 1660 ti in a laptop, but this is still pretty bad for what was such a well performing game before.
I expect this to get better over some updates.

This game is incredible. Absolutely in the category of must-play Soulslikes along with Lies of P. It is NOT super easy like I was scared it might be, and it has some really interesting innovations that set it apart from the Souls games, Elden Ring, and Sekiro. Highly entertaining writing as well. It's so much more than just crab puns

I don't listen to soundtracks in my free time, but I'm considering buying it just to support the devs more. These guys are great and deserve every penny of full price. The hours have just been flying by in this game

Edit: I have now 100%'d the game. Definitely could have taken another couple hours exploring if I wanted to, but I think my ~20 hours is a decent baseline if you're wondering how long the game is. My opinion of it has not changed at all. This is an amazing game. One of the most fun soulslike classics of all time.

The end of the game does get fairly easy, however. It turns into a bit of a boss rush like the ends of Souls games, but it took no more than two tries for each boss. My final level allocations were 20-20-20-0 at level 60 and I really didn't do any grinding.

I'm very impressed. If you like survival crafting and pretty butterflies make you giggle, this is the game for you. I'm a 22 y/o male and I was having a couple rough days while playing this game and it was such a nice reprieve from life. I giggled like a little girl when I made some good progress into insect stage and finally had bees and butterflies flying around my base. It's incredibly satisfying to slowly turn a planet from a cold, dead wasteland into a beautiful paradise filled with life.

Only caveats are that I am NOT a fan of the inventory system and had to get an item stacking mod to make it less painful (stacks of 10 items felt fairly balanced), and also that the late LATE game right before full terraformation takes AGES. It's an insane slog and I think they literally expect you to just leave the game running for several hours to get to the end. I had to get another mod that let me multiply resource generation when I was just waiting to escape and it still took several minutes of waiting with EVERY resource multiplied 100 times (yes, I had 10+ of every rocket as well long before this and 5-10+ of every highest tier machine). Mammal stage wasn't super intriguing to me, but I could see how it could be fun for the right person. Everything else was fantastic though. I was blown away by some of the exploration once I got into mid game.

Worth full price, absolutely worth it on a sale.

Story alone is worth it on a sale. It's super short compared to a lot of AAA stories these days, but it's fun and engaging. Probably 4-8 hours depending on difficulty chosen

I played the beta/demo so I skipped the tutorial and now I can't get that achievement :(
I'll eventually be stuck at a sad 29/30 forever

good game though! I'm excited to see what's next from this dev, and would absolutely buy a ship graveyard sim 3
