The game is absolutely amazing gameplay-wise. It's reminding of Undertale and clear that some inspiration has been taken from there, the 'glitches' add a brilliant horror element to the game and the combat is challenging yet simple to master. Whilst the gameplay is good, I believe they missed the opportunity to do more with the story itself. I went through every glitch I came across and the only lore I could gather was 2 names, one of the character you play as and one of the dog. Whilst there is collectibles to read about in the files that give more of an insight to the lore, the story would be so much better if it was presented more often in these glitches as they felt purposeless at times.

Nevertheless, a brilliant game and if they decide to make a lore remaster and develop some of the characters and their abilities more, I believe it could bring it up to one of the best indie horror games in a long time!

Game's horror element comes from the amazingly designed audio. Traversing these rooms, firstly in amazing detail of graphics that gives it an indie horror element, but in complete isolation with the whirring of sounds in the background, reminding you that even in your isolation you may not truly be alone. Its subtle things, from a knocking on elevator to a simple closure of a door, but it's executed in such a way that makes you question if you really are alone and had me frightened the whole time, expecting the worst.

Try it out, its not what tiktok would call a backroom game but it shows the true meaning and horror of the backrooms.
