Not bad for a first game, a few bugs here and there needed two restarts but wasnt that bad, over all a very fun and enjoyable experience with a friend

id love to play this game, it looks well made for its size and interesting.

issue is the graphics control settings are abyssmal, i have a well built system with a 3070ti and a good processor, i can run far more demanding games on high fps, but this game has some sort of inbuilt motion blur that you CANT disable, you cant lower any of the graphics below medium, you cant lower anti aliasing below ultra. the graphical control a user has is slim to none

TL:DR. Cant disable motion blur, game started making me feel sick before i even got to play it properly

quick rundown

Lost Ark, A good MMO, with many MMO like mechanics that arent as heavily stuffed down your throat as others, with wifus that you can take home to your stronghold and raids to loose because your one random wont click the right ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ orb. its fun, its pain, its a laugh. its a good game and i fully recommend giving it a try and sticking with it.

general issues people have and why

Lost Ark by no means is the perfect game, people hate RNG, people hate that people can buy things and sometimes think that the game makes it necessary after not looking at the proper systems.

ive been playing for awhile and watched alot about the games systems, and the main things ive found that people hate is RNG and the in game Shop

RNG- Their is an RNG element to the game, thats kind of a staple for MMO's from percent drops too upgrade chance, their are tonnes of things are RNG that MMO's include, its part of the charm of MMO's you only really get that euphoric moment of getting that 0.2% drop on ur 5th time when ur friend is on his 500th or that feeling of reward when you pull that pull you wanted or being able to flex that mount you grinded to get. RNG has its drawbacks and its pluses, its not perfect and if you dont like it thats fine but MMO's will have them and not much will change about that. When it comes to Lost Ark its probably the least oppressive RNG i have ever seen, just the Honing comparison to BDO is worlds apart, with Lost Ark offering much more leniency and being able to transfer levels between gear, so if you get a better gear drop you dont have to re-grind it and this is the biggest RNG hurdle in the game.

in game shop- at face value, the shop is a whales paradise, but after a 10min look this game isnt for them. unlike WOW or Final Fantasy where you can straight buy the main currency in the game, in Lost ark they handle this with multiple currency's and exchanges between them. you can buy a type of crystal for bought cosmetics, and then convert those at a reduced rate for possible matts from Mari's secret shop. Some basic things that might help you get a couple more levels on your gear or an extra daily quest or two, it is a boost to progress. finally you can trading those second trade crystals for gold at a horrible ratio making it not worth it at all, earning gold is easier then trading the crystals for it, but this also means you can trade gold for those crystals, meaning if you want something from Mari's shop you can spend the in game currency earned and trade it for what you want, making this boost just as easy for free to play players.

Lastly, crystalline aura. a bought buff that lasts a period of time that honestly does what most people frown apon still, makes the game more convenient, this has earned horrible reputation as most games make not having their paid for buff inconvenient but for lost ark the game plays fine without it, nothing is made more difficult or harming to the experience without it. it really just is a convenience

Game play

I will admit some of the gameplay can be odd and repetitive,
why do i have a mana bar? it never runs out
why do i need to talk to this guy? hes right next to you
why didnt you tell me to kill it well i was there?
when will these damn sirens leave me alone?
who keeps hurting all these segulls? why does the segull man know them all by name? is he hurting them?
why do i need 200 charisma to date sasha?

but when it boils down to it, the gameplay is fun, killing things is explosive and rewarding, doing the different islands and quests on them that chain into other quests, just to get a cube ticket, entering this super ominous thing called 'the cube' to get one shot by the cubes trial, because you thought the suicide bombers were normal trash mobs. the mechanics of abyssal dungeons are interesting and keep the fight lively and not your classic spank and tank, and then still getting whipped because someone didnt know you could use potions in dungeons. Their is alot to experience in this game, and its all over the place, you can follow the main quest, focus on grinding gear, focus on island, focus on collecting mokoko seeds you masochist, or getting island heart tokens you even bigger masochist, or 100% completing areas for ignea tokens (at that point you should be arrested). Theirs alot to do and theirs alot of fun, sometimes itll suck, sometimes youll get bad luck, sometimes youll get wiped and all your stuff breaks so you need to abandon raid to repair. every game has its ups and downs

Why the score:

GTFO is a fun game however it is super hard without friends, the game is obviously designed for 2-4 players, solo playing is definitely not recommended. The game itself is fun, its chilling and spooky, and requires working with friends, this can be funny and exciting.

Getting into the levels is the easy part, surviving when deep in and leaving is harder. Ammo is in low supply and needs to be used sparingly or else you will be overrun and outmatched.

In my experience the game started to get repetitive, although this is during its early stages and im sure new more interesting content will be released.

Why the score:

Rust is unforgiving and kind at the same time, your experience will be weighed up to what server you join and what you try do. If you join an official server with 200 players, your most likely going to suffer until you learn to thrive, its better for newer players to starts on around 3x player friendly server, I've made some amazing friends on rust through just talking in chat and asking for help or helping those who are new.

This game will break you and steal your time. Rust is without a doubt the most toxic game, you can reference Xbox 360 lobbies all you want but in rust you spend days to get loot, getting killed time after time just to get raided and wiped off the map offline, against a clan of 6 who are full kited with a compound. As-long as you aren't unhealthy attached to your loot and get satisfaction from making your base as annoying to raid as possible you should do fine.

Rust will be the most funny, random, and enjoyable game you play well being at the same time the worst and most toxic environment you've ever been in, but once you dome those toxic people and raid them with your friends the experience is euphoric, like no other.

Rust is more fun with friends and funnier, playable in solos and can be more hilarious with randoms but will be far harder. Play the game with some friends and just try have a good time.

Remnant is really fun and only has a few bad designs with how the player and certain bosses interact. At certain points you will loose less to the fact you arent good and more to the fact that your being by stuff u cant counter. Other wise very fun and darksouls like
