Early Access Review
I like to jump into this game from time to time and do a little roleplay. Choose a place to settle down, hunker down, build up, and hoard guns and food. I love playing with friends, too. Working together just to mess around and explore.

At the time of writing this review, the Premium Edition with all DLC is $40. For a new game with all its bells and whistles, that is a decent price. Understandably so, that today modern games love to gouge content for that extra cash, so in the sense of taking the game as complete with all DLC, the game at $40 is good.

Have you ever heard of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis? I still own it, albeit with a few scratches and the worn manual in the case. When Jurassic Park was in its early years, there was a popular game where, in like the sims or rollercoaster tycoon, you would build a Dinosaur Park. Think of a Zoo, but you're breeding extinct creatures that are either the stuff of horrors, or the stuff of natural beauty.

Ever went to the zoo and saw a majestic lion, or a family of gorillas? Well, my ♥♥♥♥♥ out for harambe, since in this you can create all your favorite dinosaurs and more. Or, most, unless you use mods then you get whatever you want. JPOG was somewhat limited by its era and platform capabilities. However, that doesn't mean it was bad in any sense. It was deep, it was rich, it was powerful. JWE kind of satisfies a Dino Park Simulator, albeit with a few less bells and whistles, butt also expanding in different areas.

If you don't know JPOG, but you know the old Rollercoaster Tycoon or Sims games? Basically, this is in similar fashion, except instead of building houses or rollercoasters, you're building enclosures and breeding dinosaurs. And, don't really worry about the challenges, I completed maybe.... 15-20 on my first island to make sure I had the cash to build, then I went independent, my park was able to self-sustain. But some challenges are needed for advancement, thankfully after those, you no longer need to worry.

7.5/10

I have not played the others as a forewarning.

This game was a true gem, even in the low aspect ratio it was in. Graphics weren't horrible, either, actually. I think the radio system is a great touch, but would need improvements for me to give a better rating. For the most part they work as intended, it's just hard for those who don't regularly use radios. Ultimately, I wish there was a secret ending where they both could have escaped, my friend and I tried everything, but there doesn't seem to be anything.

Thanks for the great experience, though!

If nostalgia is anything, it's a universal culture, and it brings everyone together, no matter who they are or what they are.

We always said hell would freeze over before Master Chief would drop pod his way onto the PC. All of us did. And as we moved on from the Xbox 360, so too, did the way of Halo from our lives. What Halo became.... was a bad rip off of Call of Duty. Even some of the Call of Duty fans didn't like it. But here we are...

Hell Hath Frozen Over, boiz, and 343 has unleashed that Frozen hell. Nigh-WW3, the new plague, the catastrophe of choosing the leader of the United States, and even the Red Scare infiltrating our Nukes, but we got through it all. A year later, and we're still Finishing This Fight.

As the great General Hammond once said “If there’s a snowball’s chance in hell, my soldier will make it out of this alive, we’ll go ahead with it!”

Well, Hell froze over. Grab your MA5, count your ammo, and get ready to drop. We're goin' back in.

I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.

I suck at this game. Paradox made a pretty garbage, arcadey WW2 experience.

But I can't stop.

The first day I got it, when it was announced, it was very cool. This was while my PC was having major heating problems, and unfortunately I could barely get passed the first few bots before my PC would shut down. However, now that my computer has been beefed up and has better cooling and power management, I can't run the game. I can start it up and click a new game, but once I'm actually in the game, it's a black screen, no matter what settings I make. What's funny is the "Get into the building" objective pops up.

I wanted to play this and check it out, I wanted to see what their expo was like. I don't know Devolver Digital and I thought this could get me into their stuff, as otherwise I've only seen their wacky videos.

The worst part? I can't find a way to contact support. There's nothing on Steams end, and when I sent an email several months ago, no one ever, ever got back to me. I had to let this go. I've removed it from my account.

So long, Devolver Digital.

Company of Heroes 2 lacks in some places, but genuinely the Cooperative play and availability of public, free workshop skins allows for customized and fun play. 8/10
