Decided one day i want to conquer my fear of the deep blue sea but instead of actually going to the sea, why not try it at home first? and so i did.. bought it, downloaded it, started it...

suddenly there was a sensory overload as my character rushed into the escape pod, jumped inside it, strapped himself into the seat and ejecting to the planet below then knocked unconscious. "okay this seems like a good start i guess.. let's go time to play and face my fears" i got up extinguished the fires inside my escape pod and then went out through the upper hatch and seeing what i think is a penguin-bird-hybrid-thing. Immediately after seeing the aurora and the vast ocean bestowed upon me i instantly regret my decision of ever buying this game.

But what the heck im here for an intervention or maybe a therapy? i jumped in to the cold blue crystal clear salty waters of planet 4546B checked my surroundings and thinked "what have i gotten myself into" i know that this is a mere game but the fear of the unknown and the fear of the deep blue sea is real.. VERY REAL.. so composed myself "its just a game it wont hurt you" then the game proceeds to hurt me through my entire playthrough.

great game, very intuitive, amazing graphics, but what really sells this game is the atmosphere and how the developers are able to use that atmosphere and turn it into fear. in my entire time playing this game i was constantly checking my sorroundings and i cannot shake this eerie feeling of being watched.

the story of this game make me want to know more about this planet, about the precursor race, where are the other survivors, about the gigantic ancient skeletal remains of once great leviathans of the ocean and i want more of it and in the end the whole game world felt quite small

crafting in this game sucks. its so tedious fetching things to cabinets and then going back again to the fabricator because you forget 1 thing why didnt the developers connect the storage units so we could just stash material anywhere and let the fabricator sort it. then most of the late game stuff came too late to contribute anything.

jokes aside so far it has been a great crpg experience, compelling dialog/interaction, combat doesn't feel clunky, immersive world, overall probably the greates crpg game i've ever played and maybe you can enjoy it too if you dont mind reading and willing to learn the somewhat complex gameplay.. if you dislike the outdated graphics of games such as Planescape Torment / Baldur's gate this is the game for you
