You want a good, immersive and above all fun game to fly planes in? Well, get VTOL VR!
When buying VTOL VR you get the following for free:

- Nightmares of the RWR warning sounds
- Friends coming so close in formation that you're wondering whether your plane is pregnant
- A free "GoPro" to take selfies with or stream to your friends (Spectator Cam)

As a big fan of the franchise and enthusiast when it comes to "realism-shooter" games REFORGER is something I at least wanted to try out, as a way of getting some pointers towards ENFUSIONs capabilites (well a fraction at least).

My first impression after testing around for 1 hour is plain and simply:

I am not sure if I like the direction this is going.

For starters, the initial feeling when starting it up and doing bootcamp + some Editor stuff is that this game feels more optimized and seems (according to performance specs) to finally have fixed the issues that arma 3 had with usage of CPU / GPU capabilites. The game seems to be better at allocation of hardware resources. This is a BIG plus in my book.

However, I personally am not a big fan of the console focused interface.

Some changes to the interface are more intuitive and easier for new players to learn, I am supportive of that much.
Where my personal issues come in, is with the fact that Zeus feels EXTREMELY more limited than it ever was in arma 3 (as far as I can recall).

A lot of other small things (controls & gameplay wise as well) really all boil down to the console focus that this game seems to have taken. I really just hope they won't go that way with ArmA 4 because that would destroy arma as arma and make it more of a "Battlefield Franchise - Alike which is trying to be arma"

All in all the Engine seems to be a great basis and some changes (radios, bandages, interaction menue on objects / vehicles) are nice and neat changes. But the console focus seems to limit the game and make it feel like "wants to be arma without the depth / flexibility" rather than just being arma.

If you want to test this to get ideas of the engine / new direction BI is taking then i suggest you try this.
If you want a new arma game (in which case u missed the point of reforger) than don't

- (in my case a BIG one) Console focus limits Editor & some gameplay severly
