Sony came along and ruined the game. Wah wah. BUT THEN THEY DIDN'T.

Edit: 300 hours later - still loving it. Great with friends, great without. Communicate with your team, suppress and flank the enemy. Definitely a "casual" hardcore shooter, but still scratches the itch. Love this game.

This game is phenomenal. Check out some YouTube tutorials on classes to help with the flow of the game, but most importantly, turn on your mic and welcome to hell!

Early Access Review
Phenonenal game. Best parts of the survival genre with the Viking itch that gets scratched. 10/10, will keep playing.

This game has seen some controversy...

It's not quite open world, it's open map.
Dungeons don't have good (enough) loot at the end.
I have to work hard to not die.
That rhino one shot me.
How do I craft this.

Meh. Jump into single player, get to know the game a little bit for a couple hours, then hop over into PVE. I'm a strict PVE player because I don't want to fiddle around with PVP and the headache from that. If you want both, join the raid servers.

Anyway, this game is awesome. I've spent some time in it, and haven't gotten bored yet. That's mostly because I've stayed busy making my base larger, going on adventures with new players or other clans, and bolstering up my resources for the new patch soon to release.

You'll have to eventually make your own fun out of this game. The grind to level 60 can be long, but keep adventuring and murdering and crafting higher tiered stuff and you'll get there, and then you'll gain access to really awesome armor, weapons and other things. It's a lot of fun. My PVE server is awesome and a great community helping each other out during purges and just in general.

7/10, solid game, with some funky stuff here and there. It's my first survival game that I really got into, and it's best played with friend(s).
