The game is mostly fine, other than stupid stuff that tends to be present in ports like FPS caps breaking physics.

The issue I have with it, and it is irritating enough that I felt the need to leave this review even though it affects such a small percentage of people, is that for some reason if you launch this game with VR goggles plugged in it will try to launch the game in VR.

This game has no VR mode. It is purely because somebody decided to not check or uncheck something when building the game so I have to unplug my headset or not play this game to avoid the problem.

In its updated state from my last review I think it is a very charming game for its price point provided you know what you are getting and want such a game.
They have kept up with their road map far better than most Early Access titles and it appears to be nearing completion.

VN sections:

Freeplay mode is good. Gallery is nice. Many VN scenes are now animated, with plans to animate most or all of them.

Voices remain good and add additional charm to the game.

Some art is slightly inconsistent (for example, Blibby Blobbs model is significantly slimmer overall compared to VN art)
I suspect this is because it is still beta or because slimmer thighs are better for animation.
This is not a major dealbreaker, however, this means some characters will look different "in game" compared to in the scenes.

Card Game:

The deckbuilding element is heavily simplified from before but flows easily and makes the game about the porn/story over the deckbuilding
This is good for people who are there for the porn but less good for people who enjoyed the original card game system.
I personally value it neutrally because, though the deckbuilding is what made me pick it up, the art and characters are the focus overall.

The Script system is simple to understand and makes goals malleable but frequently your drawn hands don't match up with your option of scripts and you have a lose/lose scenario.
This is not a huge problem as rounds are very quick, the failstate isn't a large roadblock to trying again and there is no major penalty for failing a script.

Event cards are "outside" of your main hand and are frequently valuble/change the flow of the round for the better.

The cards don't have a ton of variety but the suit system does mean there is a more logical flow to them for the purposes of gameplay and goals.

While there do not appear to be unique positions for each heroine within the card game there are unique VN scenes for using each heroine.
Male stars have been added to the card game to make the male models less generic.
I think this is a good thing overall.

It is a recreation and/or remaster of the early 2000s game of the same title (minus the subtitle) It was fun then and it is fun now. Perhaps it will be even more fun this time since you aren't 12 and can control a sponge a bit better in jumping puzzles.

It's a fun game, one of the more accessible MH titles. The main issue is Capcom, either because they don't know how to release on PC simultaneously or think they can (and are correct in their thinking) double dip purchases by delaying releases on PC. This leads to PC getting new content roughly half a year after the console release.

(Capcom) If you want people to support your PC releases stop treating them as second class buyers.
