My biggest critique is the health system. With you only having 3 lives per mission and a dodge ability, you'll end up spamming that dodge constantly. This is also most likely the reason the enemies hesitate to shoot at you, more often than not pursuing you for a while before firing a single salvo of shots or sending easily dodgeable missiles your way.
A game with a better damage system (imo) and a relatively similar gameplay loop would be LUFTRAUSERS, where you slowly regenerate whenever you stop shooting. There, the game can afford to send hundreds of bullets your way, as you can always find brief moments of peace to regenerate.
The biggest redeeming factor is your cat mechanic, but it doesn't change the fact that I'd rather play LUFTRAUSERS instead.

Repetitive, riddled with bugs and continuous performance issues. It doesn't help that every mission feels meaningless as the developers carefully control which planets get liberated and which don't, something that became very apparent after seeing 200k players being unable to get past 0.1% liberation. Last but not least I've never experienced a game that actively froze my computer, forcing me to restart it, yet this game managed to do that.. 5 times. (4070 Super, 7800x3D)

The game is filled with tons of real pet pictures, including a cat shrine dedicated to the developers cat. Instant 10/10!
Anyways, the game features a simple gameplay loop that expands with each reset, allowing you to explore more areas and slowly uncover the story yourself. While some compare it to the Stanley Parable it must be said that this game is shorter and more linear in order to tell a story, only featuring one true ending. Definitely a fun experience!

Decent experience, but obviously overshadowed by its successor PAYDAY 2.

Papers Please really manages to immerse me into its world. Every day you see the news, which often have consequences for your border in the form of tightened security. Every now and then scripted events let you meet different characters asking you for favors, reaching from sharing around business cards to overthrowing the government. In the meantime you develop an autonomy for checking passports, allowing you to focus more on the new entry requirements that you encounter as time passes. A truly phenomenal experience. Glory to Arstotzka!

Surprisingly fun for such a silly concept.

You play a cat. If that doesn't sell you on the game, I don't know what will.

Does what it's supposed to do. Great for annoying friends or public vc lobbies.

The story is meh, the graphics are meh, the music is phenomenal and the battle system is unique and fun. I never completed this and I don't plan to. I really recommend to skip this and hop onto DELTARUNE instead.

Battles are pretty fun and well balanced with really challenging bosses being hidden and optional, however getting to said bosses will most likely require you to look up a guide which isn't ideal.
Can't say much about the story since I'm not really invested in it but it seems decent enough.
All in all a pretty fun game with an interesting battle system which, for me atleast, is its main selling point.
