There is just too many issues with networking and it's not really a great port for PC with heavy input-lag on mouse movement etc. Get the console version if you can or play this PC version singleplayer with a controller and it might be worth it, otherwise wait until issues are resolved.

I really dislike the alpha pre-release/pre-purchase trend with games being released in an abysmal state and often abandoned.

This game is a different story. I bought it early on because i know i like this kind of tactical and teamwork based fps, it has since then grown to become my favorite game. I would say it is a bit conservatice to still call this game an Alpha, because it has a huge amount of content and runs great. The best part of it all is that they are continuously working with the game and releasing more and more content with no sign of slowing down the developement.

This game not a fast-paced run and gun shooter such as BF. It requires tactics, thinking and teamwork to succeed. Someone has to drive the supply-truck for building the teams forward base of operation or the fire support mortar team. There can be a bit of walking and transportation to the battle, but that is part of the game and makes the firefight a bit more exciting because there is more at stake; you can't just instantly respawn right into the battle.
