Happy to celebrate 20 years of the reason PC is king. Staring at my copy of the orange box as a i write this on November 16th 2024. Can't wait to hear the new commentary.

Honestly fantastic so far, i played the directors cut in 2023 to experience Silent Hill 2 in its true form in preparation and in anticipation of failure on bloobers part. I took the risk with the digital deluxe as i saw this was actually being taken seriously by the team and i am beyond glad i did. This is amazing if the pace and recreation continues at this level throughout this is one of the best remakes ever. And for a game as incredible as Silent Hill 2 thats extra praise. The teeniest bit rough around the edges in pointless areas but then so was the original. Try this game.
Edit: da.mn. It only got better and was way way longer than the original. Everything you could want for a world you want to spend forever investigating.

Incredible game no longer marred by ancient presentation

its a fun game and witch time is very satisfying

It's no Final Fantasy 7 but once you understand the confusing junction system (confusing compared to the other games) its actually a pretty solid and fun game. Triple triad is completely optional and atleast to me i am very thankful for that, you can get better items playing it but its not everyones cup of tea.Rounding out with one of the most abstract endings in the series (that i've played) and the comfiest credit sequence i've seen in a while in general. This 2013 port did crash on me for no reason mid battle a few times but outside of that it works fine on modern hardware.
