I loved this game. I think the first one had a bigger impact on me, and this one is quite tonally different, but overall it was very enjoyable to go through and figure things out bit by bit. If you're a fan of puzzle/mystery games whatsoever, and have a decent amount of patience, definitely go for this!

So honestly this one really frustrated me. Firstly, the entire chapter is dark as all hell- I literally couldn't see what I was doing half of the time and had to stumble around until I figured things out.

Secondly, I felt like a lot of the jumpscare segments were super cheap and did not give you nearly enough time to figure things out with the checkpoints also being sporadic to the point where it was incredibly annoying dying and having to reset over and over and over in the dark.

I liked the first two chapters a lot, and this one is even more ambitious and long with some good elements and interesting puzzles, but those two issues kind of ruined the fun for me to be honest.

I just saw that this game has a "very positive" and not an "overwhelmingly positive" state on Steam- this is one of the best games ever created. Is it challenging? Yes. Does it have a ton of annoying RNG? Yes. Still, is it one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've ever had? Yes.

Buy this game, passion like this does not exist too commonly in the gaming world.

Great game, really fun to just jump into and play!

Some flaws here and there and very short and sweet, but since it's free you can't really complain.

Loved it and streamd its entirety, thanks for making it!

This game is amazing and should be getting more attention. If you grew up on the NES and SNES like I did and enjoy Metroidvania-type games on any level, you will adore this. If you grew up on newer consoles, you probably still will but the nostalgia factor is very presesnt when playing this game, at least for me. I 100%'d and did everything in the game.

The combat is one dimensional for the most part but feels really varied with all of the different orbs to collect and use, as well as their specials.

The graphics are just beautiful and totally reminiscent of the best SNES games.

The story is interesting but I did think that the writing and dialogue left a lot to be desired.

My one issue with the game is that there is a sexuality theme brought up with the side characters that seems to come out of nowhere. I totally understand if you want to include that in your game and I think that the LGBTQ community SHOULD be represented more in gaming, but to me it came off as not realistic, ham-fisted, and immersion-breaking. That's my opinion of course, I'm sure others enjoyed the inclusion of LGBTQ sexuality themes, I just thought it could have been handled much more appropriately for a game that otherwise never ventures into that territory.

That being said, the game is astounding and I would rate it a very solid 9/10.

Light of the Mountain is an intersting puzzle game, and the first title for Songhouse Games. In my opinion this new development studio started out very strong.

I love the visuals, and the puzzles seem to be *just* the right level of difficulty while remaining intriguing and varied.

Definitely check it out if you're looking for a short, sweet puzzling adventure!

This game was amazing, it had me in stitches for the entire thing.

The one big issue I have with it, as many people have said, is that the room scale requirement seems unnecessary and even with room scale set up it can still be difficult to grab certain items and continue.

That being said, this is free and I would gladly pay for the experience even though I've already played it.
