This is a great game, the prices can be a little steep, but you can pretty easily earn premium currency in game through the player auction house. To me it doesn’t seem that much different from how Warframe does it. I would like to see them add the possibility of somehow obtaining sellable items through standard PvP, currently you can only do so through the extraction gamemode.

Early Access Review
I've spent many hours playing this game before it released into early access. It's incredibly addictive and surprisingly deep. Anyone that gives it an honest chance is sure to fall in love.

I've logged over a thousand hours in this game when it was on Battle.net. It's a great game. It got off to a confusingly bad start, but after Forsaken launched this game has gotten better and better. If you've not played this game since launch, give it another shot, there's so much to do now and it's hard not to fall in love with.

I havent faced such a challenge in a very long time. My fingers are bruised and bleeding. Over the last few days I partially broke my controller, desk, and spilled a water bottle out of pure rage. And I haven't hated a game as much as I hate this one.

There seems to be a lot of criticism surrounding this game, and most of it is for good reason. Ubisoft has yet again released a fairly poor PC port packed with bugs and glitches as far as the eye can see. Though after a few hours of tweaking setting I finally ended up with a playable version. That's not so say it wasn't without it's bugs, but it is a version of the game that I can recommend. Before I go on, I will mention that this game does in fact have micro transactions. Which is greedy and unfortunate, but they aren't required and used as an optional way to unlock things without playing the game.
The art direction is enough to sell this game, it's beautiful and the most realistic open world I have ever seen in a game. People fill up your screen as far as the eye can see which is impressive in itself, but it also adds the mechanic that we saw in the first AC trailer where Altair is picking off people in the crowd. Looks isn't all this one brings to the table though, this game is one of the most innovative ACs in terms of gameplay. This time around you aren't given so many tools, but you're able to specialize in a weapon of your choice. Swinging a rifle around like a bo staff is something I don't think I've seen in a game, and it's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Aside from combat though, the free running system has been tweaked with two buttons, one to go up and down, this is such a small change but it gives you so much more freedom.
All and all, technical issues aside, this game is well worth the price of admission for any AC fan in my personal opinion.

*Edit: I suppose I should note that I'm running a 690(Multi-GPU) with one half dedicated to phys-x. Thats what I had to do to stop the stuttering. Textures are set to high, and AA is set to FXAA, everything else is set to very high and it runs at a fairly consistant framerate.

I picked this game up not knowing too much about it. The idea of a 'singleplayer co-op' game was both intriguing and frightening for me. And after completing the game it still is. The idea is that you control each of the brothers individually at the same time, I found myself getting mixed up as to what hand was controlling which brother, but it didn't have an impact on how much I enjoyed myself while playing. The puzzles can be quite challenging but it took me no longer than a few minutes to figure out what I needed to do. It seemed like everytime I was about to get frustrated I figured it out, part of that is due to the game not really telling you what to do, which is nice in a world where a tutorial is needed every minute or so. The Art and Story are what compelled me to keep going. The art is beatiful and I really had to stop and take in everything I was seeing more than a few times. And while the visuals look innocent, the story is very dark, expect alot of shock and tears to come out of this journey. It's no more than a few hours long, but oddly enough I felt weirdly satisfied after completing it. I'd recommend this to anybody who loves dark fantasy and is really looking for something different than whats out there right now. The entry fee is not one you will regret paying for this adventure.

The Banner Saga is such a refreshing game on so many levels, the influences are very noticable, but it all feels remarably fresh. The visuals are stunning at times and it's one of those games that really made me wish I was an artist. This fatasy world Stoic has created is something remarkable and, as far as I know, new to video games. There are no dwarves, elves or other things you might expect from the 'fantasy' genre, but rather something entirely new. Gameplay to me was the weakest part, it is engaging and fun to play, and weak for this game is still very strong, but I felt myself wanting to finish a battle quick just to see where the story went. It's very easy to sink many hours into this game. Be warned though while it clocks in at around a 10 hour or so play through, this is the first part of a larger series, so don't expect a full conclusion. There is only one major issue I had and that was that I wish more of it was voice acted, most of the cutscenes are, but the rest is just text. Even though I got over that very quickly, it would have added so much to the game in my personal opinion. If you are like me and have always wanted a hand drawn Disney style Viking themed dark fantasy RPG that plays like the love child of Fire Emblem and The Organ Trail, then this game is for you.
