Where to start with this game... Long Story Short: It's amazing. If you loved Harvest Moon and it's many many iterations, you'll enjoy this. Me? I'm coming off of Harvest Moon 64, so when I saw this, I had to try it. I was not disappointed.

You can build a farm, design it from the ground up, move your buildings around, get animals, farm crops, get married, and have a bit of story line. It's a fun game if you're looking for that type of experience.

I know, it's not for everyone. I tried to get my wife into it, considering she enjoys Animal Crossing, but it's a different vibe to it (according to her), she didn't like the idea that you are "Timed" and need to basically "Grind" through multiple days to make your crops grow, however, I enjoy that because it gives more

At this moment of writing the review I still haven't finished the game. I have over a hundred hours in the game, but I usually get about two years in, before I get upset with how my "run" is going, and I restart. I will however get it finished, I just don't know when, I'm also in no rush to finish this game, it's just that good, BUT when I do finish it I still feel like there will be more re-playability with doing other maps, and eventually online multiplayer.

This review is for the "Free Sample" Demo. Once I play the full game, I will update my review.

Pros:
Super addictive (pun intended).
Being chased by the police is terrifying, which is awesome. However, they shouldn't be in full riot gear while walking around, wtf, and two at a time? No way. Just solo police is cool.
Love that you are required to claim territory and work your way up to getting new drugs to sell, I just think you should stick with 1 drug from levels 1-4 and then get Amph... then 4-8 until you get X. That's my suggestion.

Cons:
LOTS of spelling errors. I mean... it's like they didn't even put effort into checking it before going onto the Steam Store.
No footstep sound? It's a little unnerving when you can't hear your own footsteps in a game. So naturally when I see this it makes me wonder. However, it's still not released, so I certainly hope that will be added.
No headbob while moving? You just kind of... glide around. It's interesting.
The workbench should be simpler to use. Right now you have to open up the work bench to see your "inventory" and it's quite annoying considering sometimes you forget how much product you have, and want to quickly take a glance at it, but you are forced to press F on the bench, and then hover over everything, then esc to get out of the bench. So why not just allow us to hover over the product without opening the bench?
I think the introduction music is bugged because it's super loud, and when you turn down the music in game, it's STILL SUPER LOUD when you play the intro.
No spraypaint sound? Again, I feel like this will be added later, but for this Demo review, it's nice to put it out there.
Lack of animations. I understand it's not finished, but a hand picking up the product would be nice, or when you do a deal with a person they could actually talk to you (mouth animations).
The cell phone is pointless. You can press M to open the map, and are FORCED to go to your computer to look at messages. So why even add those two things to the cell phone. I used the cellphone ONCE in the beginning to talk to eddie on the phone, then never again. Either let me check my messages on the phone, or get rid of it.

I know there seems to be more 'Cons' than 'Pros' however, I thoroughly enjoyed the demo, and am considering picking up the final version.
Can't wait to see the final product (pun intended).

So I might not have the most hours on it, but it gets repetitive fast. I feel like it's a game that REQUIRES you to be with friends, but even then I feel like it would get sour quickly.

Glad it's a free game, because I pass. Maybe if they make it online in the future and stuff it might be better, but for right now, I'll pass.

Upon opening the game you are greeted with music, and a "picture" of the main screen. By picture I mean you can't click anything, and scrolling over the "Options" you have (new game, options, quit, etc) there is no sound to indicate the game is even recognizing your cursor. (even though the cursor is moving), keys on keyboard do nothing, and in the corner you see "Version 0.0, Build 0"

I asked for a refund the minute I looked online for this problem, and saw the developers abandoned this game a year ago.

Where do you even start with this game... It's brilliant in so many ways IF you like Tabletop Games.

If you aren't a fan of grabbing a board game, and sitting down with friends to enjoy it, you won't like this. End of story.

This game has it all if you are a fan of board games/tabletop games, etc.

It has Risk, it has DnD, it has card games, jenga, you can MAKE your own games, if you know how to do it.

My buddies and I like to get onto this and play Risk at least once a month. Since you can draw on the board we like to make boudaries, and draw native flags, and fake fire for when we storm into an area and pillage the cities. When any of us invade, and lose on dice rolls, we flip the table. (Luckily you can "Rewind Time" to prevent the table flip from doing any real damage, but it's hilarious in the moment)

This is great if you're the type of person who likes to just... jump into a random game and get playing, because normally people have servers up, and willing to teach whichever game there is at the time.

And with the Workshop you have over a thousand different choices for games. Chess, Sorry, Tic Tac Toe, Axis and Allies, Catan, and again....

Dungeons and Dragons... What a great experience. You can design your own maps, design your own adventures, and you can even use Tablets within the game to be able to look up stats, and even music.

The addition of music makes this one of the greatest things. Put on some dramatic instrumental when you're invading a country, put on some dark ambient music while exploring tunnels and tombs, pump up the jams with a movie in the background while you sit at this (virtual) table with your buds, and enjoy a (real) beer.

It's a lot of fun, and again, if you enjoy Tabletop Games, you will love this.

TL:DR - Watch the video, it's exactly like that. If you like what you see, get it.

"I wanted to like this game, I really did. But it's just not possible..."

I'm pretty sure that's everyone's mindset right now.

Sure, I only played the game for half an hour, but that's really all there is in this game to decide... 30 minutes.

Concept: The concept for this game is incredible, it really is. You have a game where the developers look at the statistics and realize games only have an "active life" of a few months. So the developers made a game where as you "Die" you actually affect the population of the game. The game's devs gave the game over 215million lives, thinking the game will go for a few months, and then after the population drops the game can NO LONGER be bought on Steam. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! That's an amazing idea! Now you bring people in because it's basically a limited time only game. Then they have "Phase 2" which after the population hits 0, no one can buy the game and only the people who HAVE the game can play it. They add in a "Finale" (Which hasn't really been discussed) but it means the games goes into "endgame" mode where in a few weeks(?) the game will finally end with the race of creatures you're playing as becoming extinct. It's a GREAT concept. I was sold, I really was. I wanted to be part of that finale! I wanted to stream it and say "I was there when the Flock ended!" Sadly, I don't even think this game will drop it's population below 214mil because it's... just not a good game.

Visuals:
The game's environment is meant to creep you out. 3 maps that are similar but kind of different. It really send chills down my spine when you're walking past all these statues of the Flock and thinking "Which one is a real person, and which isn't??" Yeah, I couldn't help but be incredibly creeped out by the environment. The character models though aren't good. The models are creepy when standing in "Statue" mode, but that's about it. When they are moving they look kind of... "Derpy" and I mean they have their claws up and it makes them look... not scary. Especially when you see them in the distance, they are just like 'Oh hi, I see you, you're not scary" But the lighting is pretty awesome. The flashlight you hold really does it's job at being a huge flashlight, lighting up areas, and when turning it off it's dark.

Gameplay:
This is where the game falls short... incredibly short. It feels like the devs just didn't try. You have this game where it could easily be incredible, but instead lacks a lot. Let me explain: We have scary creatures fighting over this "Light", which is awesome. You get the light, you become a 'humanoid" and then walk slower, but have a light to defend yourself, you keep the light... you gain points, simple enough. It's creepy for the first ten minutes because you have people following you all the time. They want to kill you and take the light. But you don't know WHEN you die, or how. They have so much emphasis on the population dropping that they didn't add in death animations. When you do get attacked your screen almost immediately goes to the "Population drop" screen. Sometimes you say "Wait what? How did I die?" It's also infuriating when you're shiny your light on someone, and it DOESN'T kill them. Makes no sense.

The gameplay gets stale quickly, doing the same thing over and over.

I honestly don't even feel like adding anymore to this review, because it's kind of all I can really say. I'm really disappointed, I am.

I asked for a refund, and hope to get it, because I just don't want to play this anymore.

I'm also very sad for the developers, because they put such a BIG number as their population. Over 215,342,530... The sad part is I HIGHLY doubt the population will drop to 0. I really do. Now that I've played the game I know for a fact that the population won't even drop past 215mil because people just won't play this game in a week.

Sure you might have a few boys who will think the game is great, but in all seriousness, it's awful and it probably won't be played by next week, I'm calling it.

Don't buy this game. And if you did... get a refund before you hit 2 hours.

Sorry devs, great concept, poor execution...

I can safely say I'm addicted to this game.

Don't get me wrong, this game takes a LOT of getting used to. I thought I'd be able to jump into it, and then play, and win. Nope. I've lost 30 games in a row, and have only scored 3 Touch Downs.

You MUST understand the game, you must understand the rules.

I took four hours out of my night to sit down and read the rule book cover to cover, then a book about blocking, then a book about the Human race. And then played a game the next day and won.

It takes time to get used to. This IS a tabletop game turned into a PC game btw. So don't assume you'll jump into it and be the best. Most likely, you won't. You'll probably end up rage quitting like I have many times.

So you are on the field, they kick off. Your catcher fails to catch the ball. Okay. You go to pick it up, nope. Fails to pick it up. Turnover. They knock down your defensive line. 5 of your guys are now either KO'd, Injured, or Dead. Finally they end their turn and you get the chance to go.

Pick up the ball, attempt to knock over their defenses... nope. You rolled 2 red skulls... okay, reroll. One red Skull, and a Knock Defense down. Hell yeah, okay. Next guy. Nope two skulls. Turnover.

It goes a little like that. It's a dice game. So if you can't understand the mechanics behind it then please don't play this.

There are people still playing this game. Last I checked (last night) there were around 100 people online. And over 300 matches played that day. Also if you go on Reddit you can find people making leagues, tournaments, and championships. So it's pretty awesome.

ALSO. BloodBowl 2 is coming out in SEPTEMBER.

So if you enjoy this one. Just wait for the updated engine, graphics, everything of 2.

Early Access Review
I used to love the mod to this game. It was incredible. Something new, something fun, incredibly scary at night, etc. Now.... *sigh* it's sad... It went to ♥♥♥♥ since they wanted to go to Standalone.

The Mod: The mod had zombies... they were buggy, but they were zombies. Tons of them. They had night time, and nightime was TERRIFYING. As night was falling you would get scared for your safety.

Standalone: The standalone... Well, there are no zombies. And if you do find any... well they hit you through walls, they crawl under the floors, they walk through doors... They are THE most annoying thing in this game. You gear up. And then walk into a building and get smacked until you bleed to death from an INVISIBLE ZOMBIE.
It's been over a year, and they haven't fixed zombies yet. Instead they like to keep adding new gear, new hats, new guns, etc. No one wants that ♥♥♥♥. We want zombies that don't kill us through walls.
No servers are nighttime servers. Sadly, EVERY SERVER is a 24/7 Day server. The devs added in Flashlights, Flares, Lanterns, etc. But there is no reason to use them because no one uses the night time.

Melee fights are dumb because you are lagging so badly.

Everyone kills on sight. There is no reason to gear up other than to shoot other players. It's like a very drawn out deathmatch. Spawn. Gear Up. Die. Spawn Gear Up. Die. Spawn. Die. Spawn Die. Spawn Gear Up. Run... More Gear I guess? That's it. Sure it's fun at times, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does it get old when you spawn with a buddy, and then die, only to spawn on the other side of the map. No vehicles. Oh wait, they added an extremely rare, extremely buggy truck.

You'd assume they'd add bikes or something? Nope. Why would they do that?

The funny part is... DayZ mod was using the Arma2 Engine. It was bad. The engine didn't let the devs do anything they wanted. You want custom features? Sorry, can only use what Arma will allow... And then when they announced Standalone... arma3 was about to come out. Instead of MOVING to Arma3.. they STAYED on a broken retarded engine. And now the game is WORSE than before. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Why don't you LEARN from your mistakes and use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ different engine? Jesus...

I mean, if you enjoy the alpha experience then go for it. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they took a perfectly good game and destroyed it. And it's been well over a year and people they haven't fixed anything in this game.

I mean, the game is about ZOMBIES, and they haven't FIXED THOSE YET. That should be the FIRST priority...

There is literally no point to this game. It's like cookie clicker, and then after you're done "clicking" you literally just watch the money pile in.

The end game? There is none.

Should you play it? ♥♥♥♥ yeah you should.

It's sad this game doesn't have a huge playerbase anymore. Last time I played, it only had a few servers with one or two players in it.

THE REVIEW: I have played this game for two hours on this account, but at a friends I have logged a few more (I didn't buy the game until recently during a sale). It's a friggin fun game to play against your buddies, or against randoms. Trying to actually go about and eat, drink, shower, sleep, bathroom, etc while trying to kill someone is always awesome. The game gives you more points for killing someone with a non-typical weapon (umbrella, hammer, fish, etc) instead of a gun or bomb. They also have getting arrested, and security cameras, so killing someone can get pretty tricky (hell, you can ever kill someone while in jail). It's a really fun game. I would normally recommend it, and I do, but it's sad it doesn't have a lot of people playing it anymore. If you bought it now, you'd probably be disappointed with the lack of playerbase.
