Early Access Review
Russian Lethal Company. If you liked that game and you enjoy all those silly Russian memes, Adidas tracksuits, vodka and hardbass etc, then you'll probably love this.
I absolutely can recommend this, very fun game!

Brilliant game, a memorable and unsettling horror experience. And I imagine probably hits close to home for some people.
You can't fix her. Although, I may or may not have been obsessed with this character for some time lol

Listen, if you're already looking at this game, you know what you're in for. It's great, go buy it!
A very polished game with lots of great attention of detail, multiple endings and more content to come in the future.
This game, made by two people apparently, knocks any "triple A" game off it's perch.

I finally see what they were yapping about for years. Maybe? It's good! But not fantastic.

The story kept me hooked and the mystery of what exactly is going on. Admittedly, I still have questions, but I have my own solid theory as to what's going on. Having replayed it multiple times and getting all the endings does help in that regard.
Puzzles were quite fun and better than Resident Evil in this regard. I also liked that they had multiple difficulties for this part of the game. More games should do this.
The game also looks great, all the environments look eerie and disgusting, this also applies to the enemies you fight.
The sound design is good too! If a bit repetitive in some segments and at worst, slightly grating to the ears.
Some of the best parts of this game are when you're walking down a dark corridor and the radio static starts playing, indicating there's an enemy nearby that you can't see. I found that the radio made the game scarier, it puts you on edge, when you'd assume it'd be the opposite.

The combat though, oh boy. It's not good. The melee combat sucks, it's awful. Callisto Protocol levels of bad, perhaps even worse than that game. The tracking is all over the place, God forbid you're in a doorway and you try to attack, you're not going to connect. At one point, I glitched during an animation like this and ended up floating midair with no way of getting down. I had to reload a save, it was a funny bug though and the only time I experienced something like this in the 30+ hours I played the game. Or when you try to smash a window to get an item, but there's a dead enemy nearby, James will instead launch himself at the corpse and start pummeling it like a madman. The game also bombards you with ammo and resources. I had so much ammo and health, that I never found myself running even slightly low and I went out of my way to fight enemies. The health in particular, you get so much. And for a horror game, this isn't good. Where's the suspense or tension when the game gives you enough ammo to fight Pyramid Head ten times over? Now, many people will tell you, you don't play Silent Hill for the combat. I don't think that excuse really flies considering that you spend a huge portion of this game fighting enemies. And with the other games in this genre like Dead Space and Resident Evil having far superior combat systems. Ultimately, it's serviceable and doesn't really detract from the experience.

My biggest gripe has to be the performance. But it's inconsistent? I'm not exactly sure what causes it to really chug. The Prison runs really poorly and I chalked that up to all the enemies that you can't see crawling on the walls. But you will come across a hallway in the game and the game just CHUGS. It does this every time too, not an isolated event. I'm looking at you Hotel! Turning off Vsync, turning DLSS on and capping my FPS to 60, did seem to really help my performance. It wasn't unplayable, but I did experience FPS as low as 8 at times. For seemingly little reason.

TLDR: Good horror game with some repetitive elements. Fun puzzles with poor combat. UE5 needs to be put down.

Story is just confusing and not the good kind either. The entire game just feels unfinished? Bunch of systems and mechanics that feel like they were originally supposed to be more in depth but are a shell of their potential. There is some truly bland voice acting here, that made me want to skip cutscenes. I couldn't care less about any of the characters in this story. Extremely short game for the price too. I finished it in under 3 hours. Admittedly, I did get it on sale and I'd recommend you do the same. It is not worth the full asking price.

If you're expecting something like Bioshock or Half Life here, you're not going to get it. Maybe the sequel will actually be good.

One of the best horror games I've ever played. You will be clenching those cheeks during some of the night sequences. So consume the mushrooms and have fun in this lovely Polish forest.

I'd give this a neutral review if I could. But the performance is quite honestly, terrible and DLSS did nothing for me. I experienced some strange lighting and texture bug whenever I used it. There's a section when you exit the Steel Mill in one of the game's early levels and you encounter the Sniper enemies for the first time. (♥♥♥♥ them btw.) Performance here is some of the worst I've ever experienced and there seems to be no fix at all.

I enjoyed the early sections a lot, but once the mercenary enemies make an appearance in the game, there's a noticeable difficulty spike and you really start to see the cracks in the system. Some sections genuinely feel unfair. It feels like they want this game to be an immersive sim, in how you tackle some of these encounters but the possibilities are just not there. The slow and heavy methodical movements of Robocop that make you feel like a badass in early segments, make you feel helpless. As these very movements feel awkward and limiting now.

Facial animations are very poor and a lot of the voice acting is suspect. For instance, I swear the entire Torchhead gang are voiced by a single dude and it makes combat segments hilarious and ridiculous, since the enemies love to talk and you have the same guy talking the entire time. The story is not bad, if you like Robocop you'll enjoy it. Main antagonist was more irritating than anything since they use the same gimmick every time you meet him and it became stale fast. Especially since the gimmick itself was predictable. Final boss was cool though, wish there was more of that honestly.

The 'morality' system in the game was very well done though. Instead of a good or bad system, since you're playing as Robocop, you work within the bounds of his morality and the devs did a good job here. Some of the themes explored are interesting but they don't delve deep enough. It's not an RPG or anything, but the choices you make seem to have some interesting consequences, whether it's truly deep or not is a matter for debate as I have no plans to replay the game and find out.

If you want a good movie fps game. Go play Terminator Resistance instead. Which is made by the same people, funnily enough.

It's definitely... something. If you're a fan of David Szymanski's other works then it's an easy recommendation for you. I did feel like I was slowly going mad playing this though.

Simply incredible. One of the most enjoyable games I've played in recent memory. From the art style, to the voice actors, to the sheer amount of variety each time you play, the passion from the developer is clear as day.
