Not as bad as I expected. Not as good as the first, but as a stand-alone game, it's pretty decent. Levels are small, weapons are limited, and some gameplay aspects are infuriating; it's obvious how this was designed as a console-first game. However, the atmosphere and certain plot elements are quite memorable.

I think most people's problems with this game stem from the fact that they chose male Alex, rather than female Alex. Female Alex is clearly superior.
