otherwise you should not trade into thrusting weapons as they will always achieve high counter damage

if you had 60 vigor with erdtree's favor you probably did not have the best armor values, or you had soreseals/raksasha's armor/scorpion charms on. You will not be two shot out of a trade from full health unless the opponent is using something like RKR in which case you should do your best to wait the 10 seconds that it is active out.

Nanaya's Torch in the off-hand (Madness Torch you can find near Manse Hall), Eclipse Shotel in mainhand (Deathblight SHotel that can be found at Castle Sol in the main game)

Two-hand the eclipse shotel, activate its ash, then one hand it and use the Torch ash. Projectiles from the torch + close proximity to the torch user will trigger deathblight build up.
