CA's policy has been largely revised since my original review. I can now recommend this game without any reservations.

Wonderful game, horrible patching policy. CA ties bug fixes to DLC releases. They will not fix a bug until they release a new DLC. Several gamebreaking bugs are present since release. New bugs are introduced with certain DLCs. CA is on record that they will not change their bugfix policy. They have also announced that the next DLC release isn't until 2019. 4+ months until critical bugs are patched?

So. I very rarely review anything at all. I feel the need to add my voice into the mass of reviews that have occured the past few days. The game is near flawless. The atmosphere and art are on point. Supurb voice acting seals the deal. Gameplay is exciting and frustrating, which is absolutely on point for a roguelike. They continually update and balance the gameplay to ensure combat is just on the line of punishing but not impossible. The recent color of madness DLC just confirms this with an exceptional new area to explore and monsters to encounter.

I am disappointed with the gaming comunity in Korea, which is where the vast majority of this negative review spike has come from. A Korean localization was added to coincide with this release, and it is frankly garbage. Red Hook is aware of this and is taking steps to correct the errors. Instead of dealing with this setback like adults, Korean gamers have decided to review bomb the game and generally spew vitriol and hatred at the developers. Not cool at all.

In short, if you play the game in any other language than Korean, absolutely ignore 80-90% of these recent negative reviews. If you wish to play the game in Korean, I would probably wait until the localization is fixed.
