Wistful am I when reminiscing about the days of yore, when eagles could soar over farmers pens and purloin a cattle or two to nibble upon with avarice in their mountain homes. Nowadays farmers are altruistic no more, brutishly firing arrow or flailing about a pitchfork when they espy us circling above their abodes. We simply wish to enjoy more of those free range vittles which proliferate throughout your grazing fields, is that too much to ask?

Even an eagle must rest upon an aerie that has its roots in the earth. We cannot entirely escape the ground, and the fate of Elves, Men, Dwarves and even Hobbits will ultimately be our fate.
