A game effectively killed by developers.

Hi-rez, who tend to make games capitalizing on current trends and then shutting said games down quickly made a battle royale when the battle royale craze was at its peak. At launch it was a pretty average game with a lot of potential and I personally really liked it, got updated a bunch with a roller coaster of updates, some good, some absolutely awful and game-changing. Player numbers dropped but kept on dropping because devs just straight up gave up on doing anything with the game.
Left abandoned and now is an empty dead shell of what it used to be.

EDIT:
The game has been "reforged" with a fresh new coat of paint, reverting certain balance and gameplay changes and is essentially restarting development from a point in the past, when the game was way more enjoyable.
This review is now about a very different version of the game but the statements on hi-rez still stand.
The game once again has potential, which hi-rez shouldn't ignore. (again)

Ain't worth it.
