The water mechanics give it a unique spin.
The tutorial is generally pretty decent at getting you started but there's still a lot more to learn, but that's mostly a good thing.
Late game performance for super colonies can hit the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worse than a beaver drowning in badwater, but is still technically playable on mid-high end pcs.
Mega terraforming is basically a requirement for end game colonies but very few options exist to do so effectively. Dynamite works well in small amounts but when you need to clear 10,000s of blocks, placing 1 dynamite at a time takes ages, even on max speed and minimum difficultly settings.
Overall a fun game 8/10 but with improvements to performance and more terraforming options I'd bump it up to a 9/10.
