So Here it is. Trip mires, Flamethrowers, blood tests, and vicious thing dogs? or normal dogs? helicopter explosions and snowmobile accidents. lab equipment and pools of blood and black parasitic lifeforms straight out of The Thing, or something like living bacteria that is dark and snake like with its death animations, but harmlessly walk-on-able. Till your friend Childs is infected. then you make like MacReady. And Burn that building to the ground.


Decided to rewrite my review. As it may change later on if my opinion changes. but nevertheless. This is very much a cool game, after getting better used to it. at the start some might find it annoying currently in its current state with the small issues of dying easily and having to wait out a session.

but that's how it is. I turn on the player spawns as infected monster by default for the purpose of extending the game further. I really think it could benefit from a respawn as monster in random location type of mechanic. as it would leave people pretty much stuck watching people, and where there's fun in moving a free cam along a snowy tundra.. most players might actually just leave the session rather than seeing it through to the last man's death or if say the host leaves. ending the game prematurely , that is always a problem.

but that's really the only gripe to be had about it, but it's being addressed. as the dev is pretty good on responding so far to some of the posts I seen. and looks like they're working to iron out some of the issues

It's a project I'd say that needs work and polish but also support, like any small dev or indie team going at it will be a process and hopefully people do overlook some of the lackluster aspects til they're fixed.

I mean its a game that feels like it really does capture the "THe Thing" feeling of dread of being able to be honest or dishonest about being infected. it just needs more polish and more player base to really get it going.

Eitherway I'd recommend it cause I love The Thing, and honestly it feels like no one even tries to perfect a game that follows so closely the vibes of that movie.

Now if only we could get a jungle map based off the dark horse comics of The Thing. I'd go nuts for seeing a giant thing monster in some jungle base of mercs and researchers. or something of the sort. ah one can dream big of things sometimes.

You know. I really don't like the phas formula. but this.. this i actually can enjoy. Always been a fan of Archaeologists, treasure hunters, and the like. so this game really scratches a itch when you actually get into the game. more or less its a similar title with gameplay not too unlike the Phas game.

With Added bonus of being either helpful or evil as a mummy. you may get burnt by friends. but mummy is there for you..

The mummy aspect is definitely one I enjoy a bit. too little games do unique things like resurrection and other aspects.

End time takeaway.

Recommended only with friends unless you're grinding for gold, then soloing large maps on normal is your friends.

Ok so far so good. however. it has some jank and bugs. This is a very entertaining collect-a-thon where you mostly do parkour and tight jumps sometimes to get to areas. I kinda like that. once in a while some parkour and jank are night.

The Character designs tho do leave much in lacking taste or well structure.. but it is a game that I'd say pays respects to the classics of the weird era that were the 2000s A blessing of time for gaming where not every game was the same service drivel. the good old days when single player games had spunk. and never were shy of the weird humor they had

Heres to you my favorite muse, oh how I miss ya. "Stretch Panic/Freak Out!" Among the stars in colorful design mixed with the wackiness of a older generation. heres to you, and thanks for all the memories. that's my ending statement on the matter of classic games never growing stale, and much to be learned from just being wacky and fun.

Ale And Tale is a fun little romp of a Tavern management sim. Me And some friends did enjoy the time and the onset coming times playing it. its got a style that's enjoyable, I gotta recommend it as it is fun. if you're in for the market of casual gaming. this game is definitely up that alley. at the same time

It could use some more objects to spice up the tavern but that surely will come in time in possibly future updates I can hope.

Still tho I do recommend it.

It's a game bout bluffing, you have to match the cards and sometimes not, but you gotta make a good bluff of how many you play in the gamble.. if you lose, take a blank or take a lead bullet. just classic russian roulette with cards and dice modes.

Hmm it has Promise but definitely needs some more modes or games to play bluff games with, and more settings to adjust issues such as motion blur. I will recommend it for a interesting idea.

To make this game better. I'd add more characters. (not like battle royales or micro transactions.. but either 4 more models, or unlockable models through casual playing. alot of games need more free unlocks of skins and so on. like old games had in the ps2/xbox era it's better for keeping a player based interested. even better than seasonal bs but that's my opinion.)

Honestly I thought it was interesting at first. but really the gameplay style wasn't what I thought it was. it kinda gets boring fast. no offense to the makers. but it'd be better just to make a whimsical game that plays with building structures and having them produce music rather than the complex puzzle building that you get.

My dad and me thought it was cool for a bit. but it's kinda complex for no reason when you'd just expect to play a cutesty music maker. I gotta say Pass on it... I'd recommend it to music lovers that enjoy stuff like this. but definitely not my cup of tea.

Brings me back to the memories of The Heart of Darkess. a classic game back in the day that does the whole journey through a land like this. but not so much... Idk. I think of it when I see games like it. and also enjoy games like it.


I recommend. this pretty chill experience of a gameplay style you don't see as much anymore.
The Backgrounds are great and interact-able just like Heart of Darkness, you play as a (kid?) mc who uses the background puzzles to proceed though the levels. I enjoy this when its done right.. and this game does it right. A perfect journey though a strange unique setting.

I recommend it on the artstyle and creative decisions. I wish I could see more games like this. but its a dying genre or more or less a overlooked one.

A Interesting game by the maker of Kio a horror game that's now banned from steam despite legit worse horror game content being on steam. Personally this is like a dark comedy skit of a man???? trying to find some love in a mad world...

If you saw the videos by fellows like Manlybadass plays or Mr Falcon you may know what I meant here.. but nevertheless this is a comical journey of life and love. Pain and gain. sometimes death sometimes a lawsuit for harassment. it's funny and outrageous and doesn't really pull punches.. Dialogue could be better but these games aren't necessarily made for english in mind at the get go.

Aside from that I recommend it as it is fun little game. that has more interaction than some visual novel/dating sims you see these days..

Still Kio didn't deserve a ban from sales or whatever the story was that happened. it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up horror like so many others.......
Sorry still a bit upset about the blatant disregard of games and art and hypocrisy... (Seriously tho, Kio was a weird japanese horror 2d game that contains a lot of the weird questionable materials you'd find in a horror game by such minds. and it kinda was unfairly pulled cause people got their panties in a bunch or something along those lines.. Seriously. to those who play games.. don't play it if its not for you. understand that horror is meant to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and weird. its meant to make you feel uncomfortable. )
