Fun, strange, and at times frustrating. This is a weird game that is the in the same vein and Ball x Pitt and Balatro. A weird take on the classic game Breakout, Kill the Brickman is a strategy based puzzle brick breaking game with some fun fame mechanics that requires some planning, strategy and luck. Clearing the game and unlocking the various levels takes some dedication and time investment, which most players may not be willing to do. Fun and worth checking out, but may not have the legs to be a top contending game

Early Access Review
Valheim, to put is simply, is a grown up version of Minecraft with a Viking backdrop. The game feels like a living world. The creature and weather systems ensure that the environment always feels like its changing and that there is always something to do. The game is still in beta, so there is still content that is missing, but after 250 hours in, I still feel like there is a lot of game left- and there are regular updates that continue to balance and add new content to the game.

Fallout 4 is the culmination of over 20 years of world building and development of a what a post apocalyptic world would look and feel like. The environments are gorgeously gritty, dirty, and foul- making your travels feel arduous and taxing on a physical form.

The storyline for the game is compelling enough as you are a parent searching for your lost son in very "man outta time" sort of way. The NPC's are helpful and written in such a genuine way that it understandable and expected to form some very special bonds with these partners during your travel though the wasteland.

As much as I like the game, it is not without faults as the general world feels a little lonely and it feels like there are fewer chances to communicate with people in random encounters outside major settlements and can make most people feel like mindless killers at times.

A lot of people have said that they do not like this game in comparison to its predecessors, but I say once more into the breach my dear friend armed with a six pack of Nuka Cola and your weapon of choice because war never changes.

The lab is probably the best free experience you can have in VR. It is the perfect training wheels course to begin getting your VR legs. All of the experiments are fun and several of the warrant revisiting to get higher or scores or just to revisit some cool environments. And.... there are quite a few easter eggs and just fun interactions that make it nothing short of pure VR fun.

I have a small hope that Valve will expand on some of the experience to make fully fledged VR games or to add a few experiments to the lab, but for right now that might just be wishful thinking.

This game is a ton of fun! I am still fairly new to VR, so I have a limited basis of comparison when it comes to evaluating this game, so keep that in mind. At the point of this review, I have only played through the first 2 story missions and am loving the game. It is brightly lit and "almost" has a sort of Team Fortress 2 cartoony vibe. That gameplay, although not much more than a narrated endless shooter is engaging and I find myself wanting to constantly improve my score on each level. The gun upgrades make the game even better, especially since having to pull the trigger several hundred times per round was starting to cramp my forearm.

The characters are inventive and fun although they seem a little creepy up close. They have even startled me on occasion, especially when they run up on my flank just out of my field of view.

I will post an addendum to this review once I finish that game.
But until that time, I highly recommend this for anyone who doesn't mind keeping their feet planted and taking down hordes of old west bad guys.

One of the best competitive games around. It's quick to learn and almost impossible to master. If you like fast action in a competitive game mixed with playability comparable to traditional sports in a video game, then this is definitely a must try.

Portal 2 is one of the greatest games of all time. It is rare to find a game that is considered compelling, challenging, funny, entertaining, and narratively engaging all in one package. I have played through the game multiple times and it feels like there is always something that I didn't see before or have a gameplay experience that I did not know was possible before.

It's really a shame that Valve doesn't make games anymore, the gaming world could really use more of this.

**Update - Hello Games is an amazing company that has continuously updated a game that many wrote off as being dead in the water. The current iteration of the game is still not without its flaws, but presents the player such a unique and wide ranging experience that it is hard not to be in awe of this technological wonder (read the history of how the game was created).

The game is as near of an MMOG as you can get without paying a monthly subscription, but still as a pretty compelling single player experience. So whether so are braving the cosmos looking for the mysterious clues, helping in a space battle or trying to steal Graviton Balls, this game deserves the chance to be part of your library.

The Universe can be a lonely place, but somehow, this semi single player experience is teeming with life. I have never been more impressed with a procedurally generated game that is able to produce such aesthetic beauty. From the generation of the planets, fauna, and plant life, I really do feel like I have landed somewhere new each time I make first contact with the planet.

The gameplay can be a bit of a grind at times, but I also believe that an amazing gameplay experience is happening little by little over time and that as long as the developers keep releasing content and building this universe on the amazing foundation they have set that this will be my primary game for the next 3 years.

**Addendum**
It is now over a year later from when I first wrote this review and the game has grown to a near epic status in terms of its phoenix like rising from mediocre space game to an unbelievable tale or redemption and growth as a solid ever-changing gaming experience and now that I 've played it in VR, I can truly say that this is one of the best gaming experiences that I have ever had.

The Witness is an enigmatic puzzle game with same ancestral roots as Myst and Riven. The game itself is very different from most modern games and gameplay since it does not have the same protagonist vs. antagonist mechanics, but does allow for a more cerebral puzzle solving experience in a beautifully designed world. Creator Jonathan Blow has truly demonstrated that video games are art and offer something far more substantial than worrying about DPS and leaderboards.

This game has been severely underrated by a lot of hardcore gamers, but what it represents is a throwback to what video games were originally meant to be; an escape from reality that allowed adventure and exploration in an amazing place. The tone and art style make it friendly enough to play with your kids and engaging enough to warrant multiple returns to this colorful and enigmatic world. I hope that one day, Phil Fish will continue his work on the sequel, the world needs more games with this type of heart.
