Huge game file over 100GB install.. All that time wasted for stupid rockstar game launcher.. Why cant you use the steam launcher? Yours is crap..

The controls aren't setup correctly, I hated having to redo them all to even make sense.. I know this a 2002 game, but damn is it bad for its time.. doesn't age well either..

After playing this game for A LONG WHILE I have reached level 130, after completing a majority of the Volcano Manor quest-line I was able to fight the God-Devouring Serpent, I unfortunately lost the fight and now whenever I spawn at the site of grace inside the Volcano Manor my game crashes.. I've tried dozens of things to fix this issue, unfortunately the game is now no longer playable as I crash the second the game loads.. No choice but to start the whole game over..


EDIT: supposedly "verifying steam files" fixes this issue.. for me it did nothing.. after forcing the game to reload 8-9 more times it eventually allowed me to go to a different site of grace.. I will NO LONGER enter volcano manor till whatever bug it has is patched..


Update ( June 2022 ): Beat the game now.. Very happy with how my first Souls game experience was, got my butt kicked a lot and learned some things along the way.. Ended up playing till Journey 3, all times avoiding the Volcano Manor since it still crashes my game randomly..

As of Christmas 2020 this game is not worth buying.. it's poorly optimized and runs terribly.. Aside from performance the storyline is great and all however that doesn't discount the fact that the game itself as a whole is riddled with so many bugs and issues.. Such as delemain LEGITIMATELY calling you every 5 minutes on a bug loop or cars floating, missions not working properly, saves getting broken or corrupted/deleted, or the game outright not even launching..

When it comes to bugs and crashes this game beats even modded skyrim..

As many have already stated this is a great game with a lot of potential.. There are a few issues however:

1) The first is simply the desync.. hopefully with more servers and optimization this could be fixed..
2) Audio, I'm not sure how to put it into words, but the audio does sound a bit off, im sure others could explain..
3) Multi-Monitors, the game only loads on my secondary monitor for some reason, not sure why that is..
4) Vehicles, I find that many players are starting to strictly use the buggy because it's smaller and harder to hit, maybe a system can but put into place where vehicles have certain restrictions? Ex.. buggy has less health but is faster, Trucks are a bit slower but are tankier.. Etc.. Sort of a balance between the cars..

A few minor details:
A non-essential issue but it would be nice if ESC also worked to exit the map..
Voice chat for Squads?
Under MINIMUM system requirements it states "GT 750 TI", I'm pretty sure that GPU doesn't exist..
Vehicles have lit headlights regardless if the car has the lights on or off.. Maybe that could be fixed for slightly more realism..

Other than those issues, This game is nearly perfect, once the big issues are fixed, I'll ask a few of my friends to jump in on the action, hopefully this game gets popular to lower the wait times..

It is a very fun game and rememberable game in my opinion.. I haven't played this game in quite some time and I can still somewhat remember the storyline.. The only negative part about this game is the driving.. It is GARBAGE.. If the game was improved upon a bit and had upgraded graphics and more minor asthetics with a new driving mechanic it would sell very well I bet..

If you haven't played or seen someone play this game.. Then you must be living under a rock.. This game has been out for quite some time and the servers are still very active.

There are still many cheaters running around and a few people do get banned for no reason, but it is what it is.. I just hope I don't get banned for no reason..

I DO recommend this game.. just... not right now..

There are soo many bugs, I don't know why there weren't fixed in the first place, there's no way the obvious issues I am encountering are somehow non-replicateable it's crazy..

FPS DROPS: Within the Hidden City it might be expected that your fps is lowered slightly due to all the rendering an Npcs, but for it to switch between VSync (60Hz) and 20+ Fps is quite irratating.

Visual Bugs: Smoke/Fog/Sky.. They all randomly flash white whenever you view them from a certain angle..

Audio Desync: Probably the second most obvious issue, the audio clips durring cutscenes or even just random gameplay and studders for a bit before eventually resyncing itself

Crashes: The game crashes, not often enough to make the game entirely unplayable, just take note that you should probably save constantly just incase, when it randomly does.. Don't Alt-Tab, or 'mouse-over' to another screen as for some reason this caused 90% of my crashes..

the only issues I've had is that I use classic shell and the customized start button randomly goes into hover mode and flickers back to its default icon.. Doesn't cause any problems with programs or applications.. Just visually confuses me every now and then..

There are so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheaters in this game.. What is this, another Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? Don't get me wrong it's an excellent game filled with loads of bugs and countless problems. But the cheating aspect of it, that at least needs to get fixed first and foremost. Not the addition of skins and excess features, and unoptimization..

Update (Jul 5, 2018): as of the latest PubG update and steam summer sale, all I can find are asians and asian cheaters. Now don't get me wrong, I don't dislike asian people in anyway.. But when all I hear is chinese and I am wanting to play squad I shouldn't have to go out of my way to que with people who speak the same language.. Not only that I find that there are A LOT of speed based hacks now..

Update (Jan 1, 2019): It seems that MOST bugs I find are slowly being patched.. the "fix pubg" did help out a bunch over the last few months.. However!! We still have a bunch of aimbotters..

Update (Mar 13, 2024): The GAME IS FREE NOW? YAY!!! MORE CHEATING!!! #uninstalled..


Update ( June 17, 2022 ): Pubg has done some miraculous updates, a lot of the issues I've encountered over the last few years have been fixed, except cheaters.. They now shoot through walls, can most likely see everyone on the map 24/7, and crash your game instantly whenever you kill them ( so far have crashed 13 times, all after killing sketchy players ).. Not sure who develops the anti cheat for PUBG but they really haven't done anything in the last few years it seems.. This makes me either want to join the cheaters ( I'd rather not ) or get a refund ( which I know isn't possible ), this game in no longer playable..


I've reinstalled the game several times, verified files, etc, etc,.. Drivers fully updated, etc etc.. It's the game crashing via cheaters, not random, not hardware based..
