DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
As someone who played the !@#% out of the original and the whatever the other edition before this was is, I can honestly say that I am very happy with this new version!. It looks awesome, runs like butter, and has all the features that those who love the franchise expect out of a modern iteration of this great classic! There are a couple of random issues that you may need to address in multiplayer, but it involves deleting a folder to clear up, so just check the forums if you are having an issue.

As someone who bought the first game on launch and enjoyed the heck out of it in college, I am honestly blown away by the quality of this game and the positive iterations/changes made to bring it to a new audience. The mechanics are engaging without being too much to digest, and good grief the game looks amazing and runs smooth as butter. Love the game, and anyone into space strategy that loves an amazing modding community....GET IT.

I have been a Warhammer fan for over 20 years and loved Space Marine 1, but Space Marine 2 is honestly the best Warhammer 40k game I have ever played. FULL STOP. If you like DIFFICULT but EXTREMELY rewarding combat mechanics, tons of customization, PvE and PvP, then what are you waiting for? If you are a Warhammer 40k fan...why haven't you bought this already?

My friends and I played the !@#! out of the first game and the 2nd is by far the better of the 2 experiences in nearly all aspects.

I didn't have a single technical issue with the game aside from ONE crash. I can match-make no problem and haven't had issues. When I played with 3 other friends, we also had ONE crash.

The fact that the dev was able to have the same "feel" of the old game in the new game is awesome, the gunplay is awesome, the graphics are awesome, the team shenanigans are awesome! Can't wait for mechs and tanks soon!

I really cannot say how much I enjoy this game. I am a big fan of the Alien franchise and honestly, quite skeptical of this title initially. How's this...I got it for free on PS5 but after playing for a few hours knew I was going to love it so I purchased the DLCs. I then wanted to enjoy this with friends and also use a mouse and keyboard so I purchased everything again on Steam.

THIS IS A GOOD fireteam-based survival shooter. I would be hard-pressed to suggest one that has all of these elements that is THIS GOOD, and that STILL MAKES ME JUMP and tense up (especially on Intense or higher difficulty). Get some friends who know how to cover one another and GET IN THERE! Awesome game!

OK troopers so here is the deal. I am a Starship Troopers Shill (100%). When I was in the Army I read the book and from then on I was hooked.

Truthfully, I was expecting this to be "passable" in Early Access given the Squad Devs are legit and know what they are doing. But I am happy to report that THIS GAME IN ITS CURRENT STATE IS A !@#$-TON OF FUN. It is only going to get better and the community is honestly pretty awesome as well.

If you like horde survival shooters GET THIS. If you like Starship Troopers GET THIS.

Where do I even begin with Diplomacy is Not an Option? IT. IS. AWESOME! Considering the small size of the development team, I honestly couldn't be happier and more excited for where this game has come from, where it is now, and where it will go. This is a horde defense RTS set in a medieval fictional world and it is a GREAT setting. I honesty cannot say enough about this little gem. If you have any interest in the genre or setting, this is a great choice. TONS of replay ability and very much a fan; you won't be sorry you picked this one up!

I have been a fan of the Warhammer 40k universe since I was a kid. It was the mythology that I grew up on and immersed myself in then, and even now as a grown man and veteran. Warhammer 40k Darktide, with all of its initial teething issues in the beginning (for me, it has gotten WAY better and haven't had an issue for 2 days as of writing this on launch day), is the game that personifies what the grimdark of the 40k universe is, what we thought it was, and what we hoped we would one day experience in a game since reading about the universe or throwing dice in it. It is what many of us have been waiting for, for a long time; in what form, we weren't sure, but here it is. Darktide is a 1st person 4 man fire team-based horde shooter close combat game where you will be tasked with accomplishing missions where, on harder difficulties, will seem impossible and even suicidal. Despite this, you have been given a 2nd chance to prove yourself to The Emperor as a loyal subject, and by The Emperor, you aren't going to !@#$ this one up.

In all honesty, for me, this is one of the greatest team horde shooters ever made; and I have played a lot of them. This team FPS will challenge the !@#% out of you and your team on higher difficulties and I have not seen such a technically well executed equivalent with such TIGHT close combat. THIS IS NOT VERMINTIDE. Darktide makes Vermintide look like a picnic on a Sunday afternoon with no mortgage or student loan debt to pay off. YOU MUST WORK TOGETHER. The best way to describe this game, aside from being THE MOST IMMERSIVE 40k I have ever played (Space Marine and Dawn of War considered), is if Arma III, Ready or Not, and Left4Dead 2 had a baby. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast....but don't be TOO slow lol.

In Darktide, there is only war, the echoes of the great traitor himself can be heard, and you and your team have been tasked with delivering the Emperor's justice to those foul, dank, and dark corners of the Imperium of Man that only the most devout (or foolish) dare tread. You WILL DIE. You WILL DIE ALOT on harder difficulties, but when you are ready and have the TRUST OF THE INQUISITOR......You will be the personification of the righteousness of mankind......at least that is what the Inquisitor said....

Buy this because you enjoy the 40k Grimdark universe. Buy this BECAUSE TO LET THE HERETIC LIVE AND CHAOS MULTIPLY IS HERESY and YOU DO NOT TOLERATE SUCH AN ABOMINATION TO LIVE WHILE HUMANITY STILL DRAWS BREATH!!! CADIA STANDS. The banners of a lost son and prince have returned, the Cicatrix Maledictum looks hungrily on all of humanity......what will YOU do? ONLY IN DEATH DOES DUTY END.
