The music is phenominal, with three different styles to choose from. Original, remastered, or new, all with their own respective charms. There are also two graphical modes, retro and new, but they still feature the pixel art style. This game introduces a new twist on an old mechanic, levels. In Cave Story, every weapon has three levels, each getting more powerful as you progress. However, the plot has been done before in other formats, and isn't particularly interesting. The entire game is basically a shoot-'em-up, musically intense, unique game that will keep you playing until the very end. 11/10 must play classic.
