I was looking for a music based graphics generator for my DJ stream on Twitch.
This one is perfect because it allows different audio inputs to generate the images, meaning I can use the audio out from my mixer in real time. Other programs of this kind required a file to be loaded, which isn't what I wanted.
I like the range of visualisations on offer, although I would prefer if the visualisations could be set to play longer when set to "progression" mode.
Very occasionally the program doesn't identify the audio input, but restarting the program generally fixes that.

I'm probably going to be lynched for this, but I don't really recall playing the original. I'm sure I must have - after all I played Wasteland, Fallout 1, 2 & Tactics, Syndicate, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, and the original is certainly counted as great as those who've played these games. But if I did play it, I simply didn't get into it that much to remember it.
However, this reboot is amazing! I was so impressed with the presentation, the controls, the strategy. I tend to play many games at once - I'm a game's slut I guess - but this one of the few games I played almost exclusively from beginning to end.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I wasn't sure what the Reboot would achieve, but there are some great puzzles and missions, and I enjoyed it for the most part. Some of the insta-kill canned moments were annoying, and I was disapointed the game devolves into a mindless shoot-a-thon towards the end of the game.

And suddenly it's 2am and you're fighting on three fronts just because Lincoln build the Tower of Pisa before you, so you attacked and all the city states have turned on you because really early in the game you wiped out Melbourne because it was on the coast and you needed a coastal city. The Mongols have denounced you, the Aztecs killed your spy, your people are unhappy because you can't get a trade deal for sugar... And your last save was back in 1650; it's now 1839.

This is Civilization. The game which can coast along nicely for hours, and then get intense in a heartbeat. The game which you might set out trying for a technological win, but end up winning by wiping out all others. The game which even multiplayer over email is still ridiculously fun.

I didn't realise how much I'd love this game, but it sucked me in good!

I loved the old school turnbased action of the game, and the writing and story was just ace. I liked it so much I even downloaded some of the user developed mods for the game, which weren't as good as the original game, but still scratched the itch further.

I really hope the devs put out more "official" addons.
