There are some good features in here that are a major step up from CS1, such as modular service buildings and the grid builder, but this game is still incredibly limited in almost all major aspects. It is next to impossible to build a city that isn't a sprawling suburban hellscape à la Los Angeles or Miami. Even with mods, I feel as though I have far less control over how my city looks than I did in CS1. I have over 2000 hours in Cities Skylines 1, and even though I only played this game for free as part of a weekend special, I cannot imagine spending close to that much time in Cities Skylines 2. This game might be worth it if you don't have CS1 and it's on sale for at least 50% off, but I cannot imagine spending more than that. Talk about a Colossal disappointment.

Train/transit nerd's wet dream. For an early access game, it's pretty jam packed with features. It admittedly has a very steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty intuitive and allows you to really customize your rail operations.
