I like Star Wars and many of the games it has inspired. I really wanted to like this game. I played it for three hours hoping it would get better. The first three zones are just jump puzzles. Not even well designed jump puzzles. The places you can perform successful jumps, hang onto the landing area, or perform special jumps are completely arbitrary. There are almost no enemies to use that super cool light saber on. The pathing needed to travel the jump puzzle is needlessly complicated, leading you to have to retrace a labarynth from the save point every time you miss the deliberately over complicated jumps. This is the first game in my life that I have ever requested a refund on. It's terrible. Unless you love needlessly complicated and difficult jump puzzles.

I hope you like jump puzzles, because the last five hours are one jump puzzle after another. It's a great game until you get to that part. Then if you're like me, it's just tedium. I'd say buy the game, especially if you can get it on sale. It's probably the best FPS on the last 20 years. The developers lovingly updated the original game to let a new generation experience it, and to older generation play it on a new engine. They deserve your patronage. But once you get to the jump puzzles (and you'll know when you get there) just youtube the ending cinematic.

So glad I tried this game on a free play weekend. Poor graphics, poor interface, poor tutorial. Non-intuitative gameplay and lack of status inticators of your party means you will constantly be stwitching screens to the extent that it will look like a strobe light on ritalin.
