Ubisoft Connect is the main issue. If you play on Windows it is a nuisance. If you play on Linux, it can take you hours to make this part work (And then you have to make the game itself work which is expected).

Do not reward Ubisoft for their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practices, their launcher is bad for everyone, themselves included.
