I ran into a few bugs and crashes, but looking past that this is one of the best strategy games I've played. Just 'finished' my first playthrough with all zone stories completed, and I have one complaint; I wish it was longer. Planning to buy the DLC and do a second play through.

This game tickles an itch in my brain I didn't know I had. Feels like FTL meets Ring of Pain meets Into The Breach. Very cool.

If only keeping on top of bugs was that easy...

Wow! Just wow. This is one of the best games I have played in a long time... And somehow free? The dialogue system, at least as far as I have experienced in games, is wholly unique, and serves the game's purpose of more beneath the surface amazingly.
Never have I played a game where finding a book of lore was more exciting than finding a legendary weapon. I love it. The driver in this game is your curiosity, and it will be rewarded

I'm currently studying Computer Games Development at university. I've been making games since high-school - from high-school to college I made games for myself. They were fun and only me and a few friends would ever play them. A teacher from my high-school took one of my games and put it forward for something called a Scottish National Progression Award, and I won it. He wanted me to put that game forward for the BAFTA young game designers award but... It was never meant to be more than for me and a friend.

I got to college where I studied game design, and I made games as only required for class. I wasn't making games anymore for my own interest.
Then University, I do the bare minimum for classes. I WANT to make games for myself again but this crushing amount of anxiety prevents me from actually making something for fear of them not being good enough or not living up to what I used to do. This game helped me wrestle with this a lot. And I'm going to start making games again. For myself.

I think I need to put down this game. The new DLC, I don't know what it is, but its just frustrating. I used to play Binding of Isaac just to unwind but now I feel like it gets my blood boiling. Between runs just being pure RNG due to the sheer amount of items, to the alt floors being a chore. The alt floors feel like edmund played Enter the Gungeon and said I love this, let me make alt floors with these enemies, and it just doesnt translate to Isaac considering ETG is closer to a bullet hell. Its just needlessly frustrating and ruined the charm

VRC, realise this. All these negative reviews come from people with 1000+ hours.
I used VRC to talk with my deaf friends via sign language, and many of these deaf friends use external applications for voice to text to help them be more aware of what's happening around them.
Easy anti-cheat does nothing but hurt VRC.

I bought this game back when it was first released in it's earliest alpha. Finished it to what was the second island and was disappointed with the post game content at the time. Now, I have come back due to a friend wanting to play through and dear lord this game is worse than a heroin addiction. It's like every aspect of what makes pokemon great in one game with the satisfying grind of games like Borderlands and Warframe. I have been sleepless playing this game and cannot recommend it enough.
But the fishing minigame needs some work, just bring it down to match 3/4 not match 4/5. If you don't know what I'm talking about there is a weekly quest to catch a very specific type of fish-Temtem. But the odds of getting all 5/5 features is 1/872, but you can hand in a 4/5 features fish and get considerably less rewards at a 1/48 odds - much better but far less rewards.

Still I highly recommend Temtem if you like pokemon.
