Nobody wants to play this with me :)

It took me 30 hours of gametime to install everything, due to MS's terrible servers. If you're buying this, you're not refunding it because you WILL be forced to go over 2 hours because of a second installation. This sort of behavior to intentionally bypass refund times should be punished by Valve

This game has 4 2 main flaws, that to me, are signficant enough reasons that I wouldn't recommend the game.

1. The Auto-sprint. Who thought it would be a good idea to force the player to sprint, in a game where movement is key and needs to be precise? This has fortunately been fixed in 1.11's Parkour overhaul

2. The Co-op. This game isn't co-op, it's singleplayer with a person riding along. The other person doesn't progress.

3. The RPG-styled combat just gives a bad taste, especially compared to it's amazing predecessor. This has fortunately been fixed in 1.10's Combat overhaul

4. The story. It sucks. Nothing else to add.

Devs refuse to further update their game after:

-Their policy of removing base game content and putting it into DLC backfires (people don’t like scummy monetization? Who knew)

-Trying to censor reviews calling out the DLC practices doesn’t work, with Steam actually taking away the ability to flag reviews due to the abuse

The dev has a history of political ranting and going on tangents, so this was inevitable, but it’s still sad to see an interesting indie game die due to greed.

Severely underrated game. Great story, great gameplay.

It's alright I suppose.

This mod is perhaps the greatest mod ever made, surpassing it's predecessing Elded Scrolls: Oblivion mod and making a mark in gaming history. I can't make a detailed review for this because I honestly do not know the right words so I'll just stick to pros and cons and describe those.

Pros
1. The Graphics: Considering the engine the mod is based on, the graphics are exquisite. The textures make the perfect landscape to walk across, with everything feeling alive.
2. The Soundtrack: It's music, self-made. Not low-effort stuff either, but music that is soft to your ears and in the right situation, making you emotional.
3. The Story: Arguably the best part of the whole mod, the story, from beginning to end is a wild, emotional, depressing, dark ride that'll leave people bewildered and honestly, wanting for more. There's not a lot to say except that this is Witcher 3 level of perfect writing and I am honestly astonished that this is a mod.
4. The Characters: All I can say is that the feature list does not lie.
5. The Assets: Beautiful unique assets such as armor, clothing and weapons, not to mention houses and such are beyond impressive, only made better by the graphics that this mod uses.
6: The Workshop: There are mods for this mod. I only hope someone will make mods for those mods for this mod as well.

Now for the cons..
1. The Playtime: Unfortunately the estimated playtime given of 30 to 125 hours is a bit inflated, as without fast travel, things are bound to take longer.
2: The Retcons: The entire previous installment of the series, Nehrim is retconned and the only mention to it is in a throwaway easter egg that I noticed only because I played Nehrim directly before this. To most this seems irrelevant, but it's personally upsetting to see that whole world thrown away.
3: The Damage: If you're emotional, you'll probably fall into a depression after completing this game. An unfortunate side-effect of great writing used for a depressing story. Minor Spoiler; On my first playthrough of this game (pre-Steam) I actually hated the endings, but the third fortunately fixes me problems.

That basically sums up my review. I strongly recommend this game, regardless of any pros and cons. 10/10 best mod ever created, pretty sure I could hear sneaky Germans in the ambient noise.

Imagine taking someone's creation, insulting them and then profiting off their creations. Quite possibly the most morally bankrupt thing you can do and I refuse to support a company that does this.

Quite possibly the best VR game out there to date. The combat feels realistic, and with modding capabilities, you'd be able to add anything you want. It is well worth the 20 euros to pick up this game. The only issue with it is that you can get very tired and very sweaty fast, because the fighting can be just that intense.

The game itself is great, each DLC adding tons of good content. I've sunk countless hours into singleplayer alone, because there's a ton of different playstyles. You can be defeatist France, or a communist France. You can be a German Reich, or a German Kaiserreich, You can be the UK, or you can get the Monarchy back in control of the British Empire.

The major downside of this game is the multiplayer.
The community is TOXIC. If you even try to play multiplayer, you'll be scolded for playing it, because you're supposed to play EXACTLY like how the host wants it.
Often there'll be a requirement to join a Discord server, which is a good heads-up to avoid because 80% of the time, it'll be a toxic hivemind of anti-semitism and shouting.

If you have a group of friends, it's perfect to play with. If not, it's still perfect to play, just not with strangers.
