Tries way to hard to be the JRPG of the year when these games are clearly meant to be an edutainment series tailored to educating those about the Japanese language. The kanji monsters hit way too hard and often times would put six against your party of four with all six starting the turn off to a point where almost your entire party is dead.

Much like the rest of the games. There was a lot of care put into it, but the developers clearly focused more on them hardcore gamers than those who enjoyed the balance of JRPG / Anime / Manga with a tool that is used to help guide something through their first experiences with the Japanese language.

It's almost not even fair at how overpowered these Obake monsters are so why do they get to attack first with all six of their party?!
