For as ridiculous as the name is, Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a fantastic game. The dialogue and story are written really well, and so much care is put into so many small details that flesh out the world at large. It's impressive to see how so much of it is never forgotten; there lots of extra little optional dialogue opportunities for those that really want to go the extra mile.

There are tons of wild swings between silly fights to interesting tactical encounters, and it does a lot of fun things I've never seen other RPGs do in its combat. It'll keep you on your toes as new mechanics are thrown at you from out of nowhere, but I don't think anything I ran into was ever unfair. Any longer of a game and this might've started to wear a bit thin, but I think the devs really nailed the perfect game length for this type of combat.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a small-to-medium sized RPG and just wants to have a good time with it. The humor and charm really hit for me and kept me entranced throughout my entire playthrough.

I can confirm that you don't need to be a lesbian to enjoy this game.

A story-driven game that undermines any attempt at horror that it tries to make. The Dark Descent's sanity and inventory systems have been stripped away. You're left with the most basic "carry an item in front of you to this location" style puzzles, and almost always while not under any duress whatsoever. There's little-to-no exploration as a result, and even if you wanted to, over half the doors in the game that aren't simply a texture just jiggle and refuse to open anyways.

Because there's no sanity system and you get plenty of opportunity to view your pursuers, they just don't feel threatening. There aren't even that many pursuits; 95% of the game is walking through non-hostile environments. And any dangerous encounters are built in such a way to minimize the amount of time that any pursuit would happen, so they're over in a flash.

There was a single room with a cool pursuer towards the very end that was actually pretty neat. So I guess that was nice.

If you are in this for the story (for some reason), there's nothing here worth taking away. Skip it.

Bioshock Infinite's characters, setting, story, environments, and graphics are phenominal. But the combat is only okay.

I'm the kind of person that will overlook a game's shortcomings if it can entertain me elsewhere, and I think everything in Bioshock Infinite more than makes up for this game's lackluster combat. Your companion Elizabeth is not a dumb AI to babysit; she will provide cover, ammo, escape routes, etc in combat and enemies don't seem to care about her existence. It's a bit weird, but the system is good in a way that you can only really screw yourself over with poor choices. And that'll happen often, due to being frail and combat being too hectic to have the time to make wise decisions.

But look at this game's screenshots. This is one of the best-looking games on PC right now. The game's setpieces are amazing, the world's history is fleshed out rather well, and Elizabeth's personality does a great job of making you care about your mission and the conflicts that arise as a result.

Bioshock Infinite's story will blow your mind. I'd love to say why, but let's just keep it at that.

It is impossible to describe this "game". It is a play on the narrative and gamey-ness of games. It will keep you laughing the whole time. You will be confused, and laugh at your own confusion, and laugh at the narrator's confusion. A lot of times, you won't even know what is going on.

That is by design.

This is really just more Arkham City with a different storyline. Recommended if you really liked AC, not recommended if you didn't or you were "done" with that kind of game after AC. And if you haven't played Arkham City, then what are you doing with your life?

I enjoyed Arkham Origins, but it really did feel like more of the same, and I don't think any of the Riddler/Enigma challenges made good use of the new gadgets to make for good random puzzles.

But you do get to interact with Alfred and hang out at the Batcave. So that's kind of cool.

Dishonored is a really good Thief style of game, requiring finesse, distraction, and a good sense of your surroundings. It does a good job of streamlining some of the Thief concepts though: combat is possible (though less rewarding, similar to how failing stealth and ending up in combat works in the Assassin's Creed games), you have short-range teleportation for extra movement and emergency stealth situations, and a decent selection of moral choices in how you approach missions. Full pacifist runs are possible, but definitely not recommended for a first run.

For the most part, Dishonored is pretty fair about its stealth mechanics. If you get caught, it usually is your fault and not weird AI detection. That said, there are sometimes "impossible scenarios" that, without prior knowledge or some finagling, will always result in combat. However, a large portion of the game can be stealthed without too much difficulty.

I really enjoyed Dishonored. I felt by the end that I was maybe a little *too* powerful, but even then, it was a highly enjoyable experience. I played through twice for both a "good" and "bad" ending, and really enjoyed both runs. I really wish more of the DLC had been out when I played it; I hear good things about them.

Offspring Fling is a game is about throwing babies. Who'd have guessed, right?

This is a good game if you like platforming and timing-based puzzle games. In the short amount of time that I spent with it, the puzzles/challenges seemed pretty good. I somehow ended up with the soundtrack through some music or humble bundle, and having listened to it both in and out of game, I can say that the music is superb.

I did not spend a lot of time playing this game, though. Other games were able to easily distract me away from getting too far into this, so the reliability of my review should be taken with a grain of salt. That may speak to the staying power of this game, however I'm still convinced I'll come back to this at a future point in time.

For what I played, the mechanics of stacking babies on your head leading to a larger hitbox and such seemed to be utilized really well, and did lead to some really interesting puzzles with ideas I hadn't seen before in other games.

Crayon Physics is a really unique puzzle game that inspires players to create silly and unique solutions, but doesn't always mechanically work properly (which is important for what this game is).

Crayon Physics has you creating contraptions from the top of your head to move a ball from one location to another. Draw a box in the sky, let it fall onto one side of the ball, and thanks to physics, the ball will be pushed in the opposite direction. Draw a bigger box and it'll be heavier. Or maybe attach a rectangle to a pivot point, and let it swing down to knock the ball like a golf club. And then watch as the ball runs up ramps that you've set up beforehand, or crosses your drawn bridge, or busts through obstacles to reach the goal.

Except the "Physics" in Crayon Physics don't always work the way you anticipate. And a lot of times, you are setting up weird contraptions in such a limited space that you feel like you are cheating your way to a real solution when it works just slightly differently than the 19 previous tries in the way you wanted. Like other physics-based puzzle games, there is oftentimes just frequent reconstruction of a valid approach because physics decided not to be kind.

Crayon Physics is a fun game, but download the demo first to see how much you'll be fighting the physics engine. When it works, it's pretty fun and makes you feel smart. When it doesn't... well... it just feels cheap. Only recommended if you can get it for relatively cheap.
