Rarest Achievement Showcase
A 'Games' List
Here's a composition of some games I enjoy or see potential for. I group them by category and leave some brief notes with information on each. These are listed in no particular order.

Games featuring strikethroughs have either been player/dev abandoned or in Hunt: Showdown's case, updated beyond enjoyable recognition

If you're just looking for my favorites on the list (sorted by my first to last choice):
[and keep in mind, they're all my favorites and I would not hesitate to launch any of them. It was incredibly difficult to sort them by what I would choose over the others]

Hunt: Showdown
Escape From Tarkov
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Anomaly)
Insurgency
Depth
Risk of Rain (Returns)
Duck Game
The Binding of Isaac
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Necropolis
Dark Souls II
Metro 2033

FPS Arena:
-Day of Infamy
=A great WWII spin off of insurgency. The same tactical feel of insurgency with your favorite antique weaponry.
-Dirty Bomb
=An arcade, class-driven team shooter. Team Fortress without the hats. SHUTDOWN
-Depth
=An underwater death match between treasure-hunting divers and hungry sharks. Lots of gore.
-Insurgency (as listed above)
=A tactical team shooter based in modern day. One of the best MilSim shooters on the market.
it's sequel is a major upgrade, but suffers from poor optimization, a lack of a community, and is in need of a content overhaul. I expect big things from it, however.
-Intruder
=A tactical spy game that encourages stealth over aiming ability. Being able to win a shootout helps, but calling the shots from the sky is just as important. This game currently runs 1-2 servers with players (at a 10 player cap) at anytime and needs some new content, but is very polished in its state. Elimination based. High skill floor; play the tutorial.

Large-scale FPS:
-Rising Storm 2
=A WWII war-style shooter. Revolves around reaslim. Not for the faint of heart.
-Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
=A war-style sequel to rising storm 2 set in Vietnam.
-Battlefields 3, 4, & 1
These games are available through Origin, not Steam
=A post modern day shooter. 3 still uses a browser for a main menu (which is kind of a drag), but is the best of these, in my opinion. It holds quick, arcadey gameplay with a rugged look. 4 and 1 upgraded to an in-game menu with a poorer netcode. Overall the game is just an upgrade from 3 with netcode related latency issues but inconsistently. Can be upsetting in the moment, but does not detract from the game. 1 is set in WW1 and maintains the same feel as 3, but gets pulled down by the lack of a hardcore mode. Shotguns are also a bit unbalanced, but are easy enough to work around. Highly recommend playing these with the premium versions of the games.

Party Games:
PvP platformers which all feature their own quirks, but they are all worth their cost and playable with up to 3 others.
-Duck Game
=Guns, explosives, mind control; it's got everything.
-Stick Fight
=Boom boom, clack clack.
-Move or Die
=Ramdomizer challenge match.
-Ultimate Chicken Horse
=Choose something to add to the map to build a pathway to the finish line. A player generated obstacle course, playing as your favorite animal.
-Worms: Clan wars
=Turn-based chaos. Worms, Guns, Cannoli.

Coop Games:
-Rainbow Six Vegas 1, 2 & 3
=Three tactical shooters based around teamwork and coordination. Features cool gadgets and a spec ops-style experience. Also has a pvp mode, but it needs more players. Servers have unfortunately been shutdown since the inception of this list. I've read forums of workaround but nothing I have been successful in reproducing myself.
-Hunt: Showdown
=A ten player showdown set in the late 1800s featuring western, shoot-'em-up, heart pumping combat. A battle royale style game that relies on stealth and observation. There's more than one way to fry a hunter. Permadeath. 2-3 man teams. The Current state of the game is no longer enjoyable for me. I hope your experience is different.
-Dying Light
=A post-apocalyptic story-driven game set in the mountains of Turkey (Harran is the country, but it's Turkey). Lots of parkour and zombie killing with a weapon customization mini-game built in. Lots of content for a party of 2-4.
-Cuisine Royale
=A WWII battle royale made by your friendly neighborhood Gaijin. Has that classic War Thundery feel in an infantry based combat. Scuttle together dishware and ability-granting armor as you fight to the last by yourself or with up to 3 friends. Somehow still has a playerbase.
-Battle Block Theater
=A shenanigan-filled coop adventure. Jump, sail, and flip through stage scenes with your best buddy, to thwart the villainous felines.
-Battlerite
=A League of Legends-style arena fighter. A top-down pvp experience relying on coordination and quick wits. Features many characters with unique abilities. 1-3 players. Sadly no more players. Go play V Rising
-Castle Crashers
=A 1-4 player coop, story game. Comical and full of shenanigans.
-Broforce
=A 2-D, breach and clear shooter featuring all your favorite movie Badasses. Gun your way through buildings and shacks in what feels like a Neo Geo arcade experience. Excessive force required. Play with up to 3 of your friends.
-Dark Souls 1, 2 & 3
=A primitive and vast world full of demons and magic. A dungeon crawling RPG with a fantastic combat system. This game follows you through deep mossy canyons, endless forests, and cold stone towers. Fight tons of different enemies as your work your way through bosses with your friends. Most areas are coop via a summoning mechanic (yes, as in satanical){kind of}. Playable with up to 3 others (item required for Dark Souls 3, up to 2 without item).
-Necropolis
=Dungeon crawler roguelike with a primitive combat system. Permadeath, procedural generation, funky items, badass characters, and chickens. Difficult combat and is best suited with friends. Coop with up to 3 others.
-Risk of Rain 1 & 2
=An amazing roguelike, featuring big bosses and even bigger abilities. The first game is a 2D platformer and the second a 3D openworld sequel. Randomized items, fantastic powerups, and a great soundtrack to follow. Permadeath. Playable with up to 3 others.
-Serious Sam
=A huge line up of games under this title, 3 BFE, being my favorite. This is a twitch-horde-shooter with lots of guns and a stellar soundtrack to follow. The Painkiller series is very similar, but not a game for me. Playable with God knows how many; at least 3.

Single-Player Games:
-The Binding of Isaac
=A roguelike, dungeon crawler with many different characters and fantastic replay-ability. A literal ton of items that can make you incredibly omnipotent or the equivalent of a gutter worm. Permadeath and procedural generation. No two runs are the same. Moddable coop. DLCs recommended.
-Heavy Bullets
=Yet another dungeon crawler mixed with a twitch shooter. This roguelike has you run through level to level, floor to floor, killing enemies and buying/collecting items. Permadeath and procedural generation.
