Early Access Review
Truly amazing game. A Minecraft beater in the making really. Great solo or with friends, I foresee hundreds more hours of playtime in my future with this. Crazy value for money.

As close to perfect as any game has ever come.

The good:
Very much a Homeworld game.
Good strategic and tactical options.
Looks and sounds great.

The bad:
Po-faced story.
Some units just don't seem useful.
The game camera isn't great.
I would have loved the option to speed up and slow down time.

I enjoyed the game, even though it is quite short for a strategy game. I'd be interested in a sequel and/or expansions.

This game is brilliant. The platforming alone is excellent but each rectangle manages to have more character and charm than the majority of humans in any regular game.

Starship management and combat. You're basically micro-managing your own starship from the crew to the weapons to the subsystems. Mixed with a Rogue style gameplay that is great for short or long games (depending on how long you last). Insanely addictive.

I highly recommend that you...don't buy this game. Sure it looks pretty but it bored me to tedious tears. I didn't get past the first few hours as I seemed to just go from person to person pressing the use/interact key, driving a fair distance, do a little shooting then drive all the way back, rinse and repeat. Dull, dull, dull.

Storyline is bobbins, but you'll really not care when there are so many possibilities. I've played through the single player at least 3 times, it's great fun.

So many great units, my favourite is the Noah Unit Cannon that lets you launch ground units as artillery across the map. Great for coordinated sneak attacks!

Different to SupCom1 in that you're not really micro-managing your economy and creating production lines, which in my mind makes for a more fun game.

I'd love to see a Supreme Commander 3 some day.

It doesn't take too long to get to grips with the gameplay and you're rewarded with a hypnotic, relaxing game of arranging shapes to make quads of 3x3 or larger. The excitement comes from trying to expand the quad as many times as you can before it's timer is up to get higher scores. It's a shame there aren't more tracks to choose from but for the price it is well worth getting.
