Update: They implemented the change for the undo button to make it work exactly the way I wanted it to work, will test the functionality and the desync issues later

I'm torn on this game,

Spirit island itself is great, but this adaptation is very flawed.

This starts with very questionable UI Decisions like the main menu being set to build up slowly by default (I am aware this is changable by turning off animations in the options). No On Hover explanations or at least player aid for tokens is not making the game very welcoming towards potential new players. The undo button in mp seems to work very inconsistently in where you are thrown back, having a button instead that opens a play history with points to jump back to would've been much better than a nebulous back button.
Considering this is a videogame adaptation there was also potential to add a few animations to effects / abilities etc. to enhance player experience, but the dev took the easy route.

If i had to describe the game in one word it'd be clunky

My biggest gripe however is in the constant multiplayer desync, having to resync and replay actions. Even though Jagged Earth is out the issues still persist (in some cases got worse). Due to that I'd probably recommend playing the TTS mod over this (the biggest + of this version are the invader auto actions).

Will gladly update my review once desync issues are fixed.

Lastly, the DLC coming out on a piecemeal basis is a strange decision, it feels like EA for dlc.
