FOR DEMOCRACY!

A difficult, sometimes extremely frustrating game- but really stunning in the visual and emotional front. It really makes you FEEL like an expendable troop fighting an overwhelming horde! 11/10, would get blown up by my own mines again.

Raiders are literally given free wins. You have to be an idiot or against a SERIOUSLY good premade lobby to lose, genuinely. And even then, it's HARD.

So survivor is basically more than ever a masochism simulator where you exist to just die forever. There's no sense in fighting and the meta is quite literally to just NOT fight back - only escape - which is not even a victory in the survivor's part. That's a draw at best, more fittingly a defeat since the raider STILL wins even if they don't kill everyone.

It's an absolute joke how much of a bad state this game has turned to. From the actual genuine fun and strategy with a friend of mine against raiders with the ability to STILL kick ass if you played well as a raider yourself (we won most of our games we were raider even with all the strengths the survivors had) to an absolutely irredeemable experience of slaughter that is not fun or engaging in any way.

I don't know how they could butcher the game so hard. Let alone its playerbase. I originally said to play it even with the raiders being horribly overtuned, because there was some merit still. But now... now, there's no merit. Either they update it to be more fun for survivors and have it so raiders actually have to be good to win (how it should be, no exception) or this game dies.

Stay away.

Here Comes Niko is an interesting game in the sense that it doesn't really have much depth or complexity to it. This is definitely a bit of a miss for myself, having played A Hat in Time beforehand and various other 3D platformers which all hold far more water than this game does. However, for everything this game attempts to do, it does it fairly well: being a cozy platformer.

There's no rush, heck, no danger or challenge beyond a few that get imposed upon you by a certain NPC you encounter later in the game, and even then those challenges can be completed fairly swiftly. So if you're looking for a challenge, avoid this game; however, if you're just looking for a relaxing time and to have a small little collectathon game, this will suit your needs nicely.

There are some genuinely charming characters and some dialogue is witty and funny, and a few things caught me so off-guard I couldn't help but grin like a dork.

A lot of it is hit and miss, but for the most part, the game hit pretty well for me.

The main problem I had was that towards the end while going for 100%, it became very tedious and repetitive dealing with the same NPCs and same quests with the exact same gameplay with basically no variety. It also felt disjointed and out of order, as though the developers intended you to backtrack the very second the option became available rather than after clearing areas the second you got to them. The volleyball was also ridiculously hard for no reason to get 10 on in some cases. I believe it's been fixed now, but on release it was something Satan himself would conjure up to make you suffer.

All in all though, it's a safe game and while the price may be a little steep, it's nice enough despite all of its flaws, so I do recommend it if you're looking to unwind and just zone out the world for a bit. It helped me do just that.

Terraria is an interesting game that definitely is GREAT to play, especially for first time players. It's a very "Metroidvania" esque game, a term I've heard thrown around a lot. Basically, you collect items, get stronger, and there are loads of things you can completely miss. You can become so powerful by the end of the game, it's not even funny. It's a long process, and it can get frustrating to play, but it's worth going through it - I especially recommend doing so with a friend, as I did this whole game with a good friend of my own and it was one of the best things ever.

The bossfights are pretty tense - especially when you don't know what the hell you just did to trigger them, and items are unique and can be comical too. Weapons like a literal shark, or a laser cannon - rocket boots or a literal fart to propel yourself into the sky - the choice is yours and you can make your character what you want it to be.

At the end of the day, personally, I'd say go for it. There's so much to offer and it gave me a good 160 hours of playtime, building a world, getting things done, sharing items and showing off - lots to do. In my opinion, playing it again isn't quite as fun at all. In Metroid games it's tough to start off again but it's fun - in Terraria it's unforgiving and it's incredibly NOT fun to go from your top level character to a new grunt. So, if you intend on replaying it over and over? No. But for a first time experience? And for the insanely low price that it normally goes for (since I don't think I've ever seen it NOT on sale) it's a must get.

Where do I begin with this game? I previously made a review back in 2011 when I was like 12 or 13, needless to say it wasn't very comprehensible, so I'm remaking it because I feel this game deserves it.

Garry's Mod, often shortened to GMod, is mostly a Sandbox themed game in its roots. The very basic gamemode is literally called just that - Sandbox - where you are given a Physics Gun which can move props and ragdolls around (objects and people, essentially) and create all kinds of wacky contraptions. The screenshots on the store page really do a good job in showing what's possible, but it can be taken far further, mostly due to one big thing that has kept this game alive for years and years and caused me to sink more than 3,000 hours of my time into it - the customizability.

You can have so many mods, so many options, from various game weapons, props, models and more, all within this tightly packed game which makes for a really entertaining experience. You can have a space map, and have Chris Redfield from Resident Evil fight Ryuko from Kill La Kill, essentially. With what's given to you - you can really do a lot, and that's just in Sandbox, mind you, not to mention the game is also entirely online.

There are at least 30 other gamemodes that I know about in addition to Sandbox, and they all have their own charm that could keep you playing them. I'll name a few that I really do think stand out.

Zombie Survival, which is wave based chaos which can actually be won by humans and gets worse the more people go down - some scenarios I've seen have had literally max slots and last human, meaning that the only survivor was being chased down by 31 actual player controlled zombies. That is intense.

Stranded, which is island based survival where you work up to eventually be able to create weaponry and craft all kinds of crazy things. It's essentially a Minecraft gamemode except it's 3D and has HL2 physics and guns.

Deathrun, which is basically an obstacle course that is ran across by players on the server, and one person is nominated to play a cunning evil trap operator that deploys things to literally kill the other players trying to get to the end, and once players reach the end they have a showdown with the deathtrap operator.

There are far more, but honestly, it's worth discovering them yourself.

Needless to say, I do very much recommend the game being tried out. If you're still skeptical, look up videos on it on Youtube, there are hundreds upon hundreds and they all usually showcase the fun you can have.

I rate it a very big 10/10. A must get, essentially, for its cheap price.

Go ooooon.
