If the $5 price tag wasn't enough to entice you alone, it also has a very generous demo which should sell you on it.

The game is genuinely a steal for $5 though. A perfect storm of bizarre non-linear levels with secrets around every corner, and crazy fast movement with more than a few tricks to skip around mean that there are a million different ways to skin this cat. Gun and enemy variety are equally as strange and satisfying, and paired with levels that never overstay their welcome so there's never a moment of downtime.

Seriously, this game has no fat. The only times I wasn't running and gunning, I was looking around and admiring the world, or going back to find more secrets I missed after clearing all enemies. The game is very light on any story or writing, but that is perhaps to it's benefit, as any more might detract from it's atmosphere or snappiness. Much like Turok or Quake, the game's visuals do more than enough. Every asset is grimy and grungy and goofy and distinct in a way that you never get bored of looking around and never have too much issue finding what you need.

My only complaint is the 60fps cap (but I think for a solo dev working in their own engine it is definitely excusable), and some random performance issues that would typically disappear as quickly as they appeared.

Eat a Zamek bar and enjoy your stay.
(Edit: They apparently released a 240fps cap option after I beat the game. Nice.)

Can't comment on the quality of the content itself, which I'm sure is good, as is every other Souls DLC, but the performance is the worst I've seen in the entire series. I get consistant drops to 20fps for even looking in the wrong direction. If you have a good PC, or just don't really care about performance, you should be fine. Hopefully this gets fixed.

This is literally the best game I've ever played in my life. Literally.
